It has been awhile since I last went online surfshopping so I’ve actually been quite delinquent when it comes to the latest bags to hit the market. Haha honestly, this has saved me a lot of money because you know what I mean, when you intend to just “look”, you often walk away with pressing that dreaded “purchase now” button ;). I am a victim of this too, believe me!
So you see, in less than 2 minutes of surfshopping, a bag already caught my attention, and why it’s no surprise that it’s a bag by Givenchy! *Whyyyyyy?? Hahaha first the Antigona, now this? Hahaha*
The Givenchy Obsedia Bag looks very interesting in terms of design and function, actually. It’s got an oversized envelope pocket in front which pretty much makes for the façade of the bag,
but the style of the bag is actually much more of an open tote. 
The envelope pocket will definitely come in handy with your more “precious” cargo while the open tote side can hold your phone and other things that need to be easily accessed. This bag has a more somber color tone combination of gray and black, and the style of the bag itself is quite structured, so it look a bit more formal. I frankly don’t see it as a casual weekend bag, because even if you wear a worn- out pair of boyfriend jeans with this, the bag still has that formal feel.
I’m thinking perhaps if the bag came in a warmer or brighter color, it might work better as a casual day bag. But that said, I still think the bag is beautiful and is very sleek. It is a very impressive piece and definitely gets plus points for the thicker detachable strap.
I’d really love to see this bag in another color combination, but this particular bag above is a very safe, neutral choice for a formal day bag 🙂
