Paris Fashion Week: Ines de la Fressange Spring Summer 2018

Hello everyone, yes The Bag Hag is still alive and well, and busy posting on instagram and on instagram stories. I realize it’s really difficult to write a blog post from the phone in between shows and presentations while in the car– hence the lack or absence of any post from Milan Fashion Week. But at some point I’ll have to share photos and brief commentaries of the noteworthy collections that I had seen from Milan.

For now, I have a little bit of time so I’d like to share some photos from the press presentation of Ines dela Fressange’s Spring Summer 2018 collection. Because her collection is worth writing about and yes, definitely buying 🙂

Ines’ Le Flaneur bag continues to be a key piece in her bag collection, but this time she also presented some newer pieces and shapes! For starters, her continued collaboration with Cambridge Satchel becomes more defined, with personalization of her signature colors and stamping. The perfect bag to look preppy chic!

I also love this new flap bag with double handles and a very interesting lock mechanism. I find the colors very appealing and this makes for an “easy to carry” – “easy to match with everything” bag. I am personally eyeing this bag for purchase come Springtime in 2018!

Another saddle bag with an interesting enclosure–
These days, I really appreciate clean lines and minimal hardware on bags, and this one is very classy and no- fuss. Thought went into the design of this bag with the thick shoulder strap– a big plus!

Your summer outfit is not going to be complete without a proper wicker bag– Ines’ version is refreshing and new, with her signature golden clasp.

Happ’Ines is these candy- colored zipped leather box bags with the signature colors on the piped edges. Simple, easy to carry, and definitely fun!

In her signature colors, navy and red:

Now if you fancy something lighter and more casual, these flap messenger bags in canvas are good options! Perfect for travel too! Pick either the navy version

or the bright red one:

This flap satchel with dual handles is also very nice– I am hoping this comes in the navy version with the navy/red combo strap. Definitely a more utilitarian bag as you can put more things inside compared to the flap.

And these bags are collaborations from 2 brands– Bensimon and Cambridge Satchel.

Ines’ SS18 collection covers pretty much everything and I love how each piece is not only easy on the eyes but also easy on the pocket. Merchandise from premium fashion brands today has become insanely overpriced and is still on the up and up, even if quality for some has considerably gone down. Ines de la Fressange has continued to produce pieces with exceptional quality but without the crazy price tags. And thank goodness for that!

More fashion week posts soon! I have to rush to another presentation and hopefully I’ll still be able to write more in the next few hours or days!
