W’s last day+ The Blues with Marc Jacobs

Top photographer BenH’s last day in the Philippines was spent with us kooky peeps. When I picked him up at the hotel, JamesR was just about to check out and head to the airport, so we were still able to say goodbye yaddi yadda. After the “so-long-farewell-auf wiedersehens”, we all headed to Tagaytay for some nice R&R (the past few days were just so tiring, I have no idea how BenH and JamesR could still get energy to party at Embassy the night before– meanwhile the team was all out and flat-tired!). DaphP couldn’t join us because she had her show’s taping, and SherleC was already on her way back to Shanghai! 🙁

We were originally going to have lunch at Antonio’s but at the last minute, Dr.P said it might be better to lunch at Firelake Grill because of the beautiful view of the Taal Lake and the nice, cool breeze. I ordered the sea bass, which was excellent. The chicken that both MarkC and BenH ordered didn’t look too good though (but we were also told that steak was the specialty of the house. Oh dear!).

What a fun and light lunch it was, as BenH talked about how his work. We also had invited ace photographer PatrickUy to the lunch, but he was out shooting the guys who climbed Mt. Everest and couldn’t make it :(. So it was just me, ImeeM, MarkC, and Dr.TeyetP with BenH.
After that, we all went to Tagaytay Highlands to walk around some more before heading back to Manila. Along the way, we saw a fleet of Jeepneys and had to stop. It was to be BenH’s souvenir shot of Tagaytay *hehe* Quite trippy actually 🙂

It was an unforgettable 3 days to have W come to town. We were all tired (and I can’t emphasize that enough haha), but it was really great to meet BenH and JamesR. I hope the feature on Mrs.M works out nicely, but for sure I already know, the photos will be remarkable 😀

Okie, enough talk about my day job already. I hope you were not getting too bored with my stories in the last few days. Sorry for the drought on bag features, but I just could not resist documenting W’s visit to Manila. I don’t keep a personal diary, so this is as close a thing to one as I can have 🙂 *When I’m older I can refer back to this!*

Now for some bag talk! *Ugh, finally!*

Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc tote. I’ve always liked Miss Marc because her expression resembles my mood– everyday 😀 Anyway finally Marc J came out with a more structured Miss Marc shopper bag. I love the series and this is certainly one bag that I would not hesitate getting. At net-a-porter.com for £170.21

Marc Jacobs Quilted Stam Bag in blue! I love the emergence of blue bags lately. I’ve not seen this much royal blue in bags (or maybe I was just not noticing it)! There was Fendi, then Chloe, Sissi Rossi, Rabeanco, Betsey Johnson, and now Marc Jacobs has joined the blue bandwagon– and I can only say this– I love it! This bag has been on my list for quite some time now, and I’ve just resisted that urge to get it because it is a bit heavy, but if I didn’t yet have a blue bag in my little bag collection, THIS is the bag I’ll get! The vivid, electric blue stam ranks high on my to-have list for summer 🙂 Priced at US$1,350 at eluxury.com
