Works of Art at the Tod’s Headquarters

I found it very interesting that the shape of the main structure of the Tod’s office complex/ headquarters at Fermo resembles the Chinese character for King or  “?” — 3 horizontal “bars” connected together by a central “spine”. Unintentional, but oh to me, the message is clear. The generation of Della Valles are kings in their craft!
Inside the Tod’s offices, I couldn’t help but feel like I was walking the halls of a modern museum– I was surrounded by works of art!!

The Tod’s globe as interpreted by artist Felice Limosani. Those pencils you see are his interpretation of the soles of the brand’s “nubbies” on the signature gommino.
The Ron Arad “hippo” staircase

 A different perspective…

To the left you see the first F1 car (or the casing) driven by Michael Schumacher, a gift to Mr. Della Valle.  And in the center, the Tod’s globe.
The Tod’s globe in the distance– the photo of that globe up close is the first photo I posted in this entry
This larger- than- life dayglo “imprint” of a Tod’s gommino loafer by Giovanni Gastel also greets each person that enters the building.
“Kites” made from rice- paper and all hand- assembled (took about 4 days to do it) by Japanese artist Jacob Yashimoto

Another Yashimoto piece, called the Balloon Tree.

Polish artist Igor Mitoraj’s sculpture among the greenery.
Nice hair 🙂
See, how can one not be inspired while walking these halls, right?  I’m very, very impressed. Oh and the Tod’s visit only gets better!
