Women of the World, Raise your Bags!

One of our male friends *I won’t say who or else he’ll be eternally teased by his wife and siblings haha* asked me last night– “I don’t get it. How many bags can a girl have anyway? There are only 365 days a year and for sure girls can’t possibly be changing bags everyday to carry each bag at least once during the year?”

I was like, “DUDE that’s why you are NOT a woman, coz you don’t understand, and you probably never will” *muwahaha meanie!* Believe me, my DH was like that once. He couldn’t understand the need to have more than 5 bags– 1 for those cocktail parties, 1 for everyday use, 1 spare (in case the everyday bag dies on you), 1 for a more formal affair, and 1 super colorful one for those “gaudy tacky days”. Tsk tsk, we women are not built that way, and thank goodness my DH has left me alone to figure out why I can’t live without having new bags every so often *pfft… too often in that there is no moolah saved*. Let me put it this way, there may be men who can probably live with 4 pairs of shoes in a year– 1 pair of sneakers, 1 pair of office shoes, 1 spare office shoes, 1 pair of formals (lace-ups), and 1 for the weekend (hehehe topsiders, guys? hehehe so I’m not the perfect men’s shoes shopper– I admit that much :D). But most Women CAN’T! And more importantly, women WON’T! Not with shoes, and most certainly not with BAGS 🙂 While there may be some women who are lucky enough *financially hehe* not to be blessed with such sinful and lustful bag desires, women like us baghags, do not belong to that group, but hey, we are blessed with assets (although we are never really liquid haha). We’ve got the BAGS to prove it, don’t we? *time to brag, baghags!!!*

So to my male friend who reads this baghag blog *and lurks haha* (and still can’t get it), STOP trying to understand 🙂 It will only leave you completely drained *as in brain drain!!*. Just be grateful women don’t ask for cars or watches to go along with them bags 😀 More importantly, be grateful that women can earn their own money to buy them *or else you too will be wiped out 365 days of the year! hehehe* Take more notes from my DH who has learned not to ask questions *unless I am encroaching his closet space, which I never have… yet haha*.

Save me, save me, someone please buy this bag. Since I can’t afford to have a new bag now, I’d like to see this bag on someone.

Eluxury has dropped the price down from US$1850 to US$1295. The Marc Jacobs Tie Blondie bag has been featured, what, 3 times now on my blog? Why? Because I really like the bag. Yes, even if it’s black. It is a tad heavy with those chains, but really, it’s so beautiful. I think I would prefer this bag to the Stam (although Stam leather seems more low maint.)

So, this holiday season, it’s no sin to buy yourself another bag as long as you can afford it, won’t drown in debt for it or not steal money from someone else to get it *yeah, watch out for those pickpockets– rampant now especially during the holidays!*. Oh and don’t let that other unused bag in your closet get to you. There are always ways to dispose of your unused bags (hello, resell it!). Bags are investment pieces too (you tell that to the men :D).
