Travelog: Who Wants Gems?

Burma is known for gems– jade, ruby, and sapphire among others. Scots Market is a place to visit if you are interested in seeing some gems 🙂

Finished products– gems on rings (silver or gold).

Jade– semi- polished on one side, these stones allow buyer to see the jade’s color.

Loose stones– ruby, rubellite, spinel, sapphires, topaz… name it!

Now, if gems are not something you fancy, there are other things to get too. Like these marionettes

or hey, why not add some local Burmese color into your home by taking one of these lively paintings back to your country as a souvenir?

Tomorrow, let me write about Burmese food. Hope you are enjoying the Myanmar travelog so far 🙂 If you have instagram, please follow me there– I’m on there as “TheBagHag”.

  1. Why did you stop dropping comments on SLC’s Instagram? You used to call her gorgeous every time she post a photo of herself. – Nate, your old time commenter.
