Travelog: Tvrandot food in Moscow

Ok let me say this– Tvrandot food (at least our brunch) was very, very good, but it’s not too unique. It’s not one of those meals that I would single out for gastronomic ingenuity because we have our own spectacular buffets in the Philippines too ;D  BUT! The dining experience was really what made Tvrandot unique and worth visiting (and I doubt if there’s any other restaurant in the world that can top it in terms of ambiance). The price per head for the brunch buffet is not exactly cheap. We’re talking 3,000 rubles per head (as far as I remember– and that translates to about Php 4,500)– but that already also includes your drink of choice. I, chose champagne *wooohaaaa*

You might be inclined to think that the price is really wayyyyy tooo much, but then you have to realize that the restaurateur needs to pay (or rather make up) for his extravagant renovations of the restaurant, right? So somehow the price was justified (if you look at it that way :D). Plus again, you are paying for the dining experience here (and of course food was a good consolation in this case!)

Again, the presentation was quite extraordinary. The food buffet was on the 2nd floor

and you walk out to their “terrace” which overlooked the courtyard below.

If I had gazillions of moolah, I’d build my house to look like this (although don’t expect me to spend $$$ to make it look like Tvrandot hahaha. I love the rococo style *hello Accessory Lab and Tresorie*, but I’d settle for much, much less in my home)

Anyway peeps, another visual feast– Brunch!!

Don’t you just love it? 🙂 This cake station looks like a spread from a Weddings Magazine! (psst Daphne, remember those days? hahaha)

*You can have your cake and eat it too!*

There was so much food that it overwhelmed me. I felt like I was being force-fed already hahaha. I made countless trips to the buffet tables, and only managed to take photos of my dessert. Suffice to say, I feasted like a greedy peasant girl who hasn’t seen a gastronomic feast like this in her whole life 😀
And I shall give Tvrandot 3 stars– for excellent service, good food, and unparalleled ambiance!
