TRAVELOG: Thebaghag is BACK in San Francisco+ FULL BAG REPORT!!!

Yay! After a good few days of blog blackout *hehe*, I am back online once more. I can only tell you one reason why I didn’t blog. It’s not that I wouldn’t– we had superfast wifi access all day/night long. It was because I couldn’t! I was WAY TOO TIRED!!

I did most of the driving– from SF to LA, then from LA to San Diego! Yes, we went to San Diego the day after I blogged last. We went to the San Diego Zoo. It was a good 2 hour drive to San Diego, but was sooo worth it!

Anyway I won’t be posting photos of SD anymore since I wanted to show you what a bunch of shopaholics my family unit is… *muwahaha* After the long drive from SD back to LA, we found ourselves rushing to make it to South Coast Plaza Mall– before the mall closed! After all, it was December 26. The mall would close late.

The mall was a shopper’s heaven. Everything housed under one roof. It was eye candy overload! YSL, Bottega, Vuitton, Chloe, Carolina Herrera, Loro Piana, Fendi Burberry, Barneys, Saks, Chanel, Hermes, Tod’s, Cartier, Giuseppe Zanotti, Jimmy Choo, Tory B, Pucci, Bvlgari, Tiffany, Valentino, Chopard… oh my the list is too long…. But a trip to this mall is simply shoporgasmic!!

Tod’s D bag. In the most attractive shade of yellow. Me likey…..

Chanel… ahhh Chanel… I got the chance to take photos inside the boutique. I was so pleased that the SA turned a blind eye when I was taking photos haha… She was way too nice to me *even if I looked like crap when I walked through those designer gates!*.

Here’s the large plum Chanel in caviar leather. The color of the bag is not as rich as it is on lambskin leather actually. Speaking of the large classic, they had a beautiful shade of dove gray in large caviar, and it was just soooo beautiful! It was a great compromise between a black one and a white one. *Drool* Here’s the gray medium against the purple.
Chanel never stopped producing the mini classic– yup, my very first designer bag that I paid for with my school allowance back in ’92 😀 Check the size out against the medium.

Patent white Chanel medium classic. This is by far one of the most beautiful Chanel patent classic bags I’ve ever laid my eyes on. It’s a limited edition piece (the price oh be still my heart), and it really blew me away. But the thing about patent is, the color of say, your fave jeans, will transfer onto the white leather. It is inevitable, and even the SA said there’s really nothing that can be done after that happens to the bag. Sad.

And then there are the ad campaign gold 2.55 bags in semi- distressed gold leather. They were quite nice and eye catching too, but I wouldn’t spend my money on those bags. It’s really a head turner though!

Over at Hermes, they have a dark brown Kelly and a Haut a Courroies travel “birkin”in blue jean. And speaking of blue jean, this color is becoming harder and harder to get. I was told that it’s a special order color now. Sigh. Hags, if you can get your hands on a blue jean birkin (or any birkin for that matter haha), don’t hesitate– funds permitting of course! We don’t wanna be in debt because of a birkin haha… Don’t emulate me. I’m bad influence! *Guffaw!* Reminds me of that dark green birkin that was available last week– when I called in today, I was told that the dark green *cough not pretty* birkin was actually sold!! *shock*

At Macy’s, there were a few nice Betsey Johnson bags, and this one bag caught my eye big time because of the color– it’s psychedelic purple in the flesh! 🙂 I loooooove the color of the bag!!! *No, I didn’t get it. By the time I went back for it, it was GONE!*

I couldn’t believe that there was this big sale and I couldn’t find anything to get. My fingers itch to swipe the card *muwahaha purchase sinner!*. I went around the mall some more, and found Nordstrom’s. There were Lanvin Kentucky bags *and I thought only Barneys had it*, and there were some bags that were for sale. Sadly, the Lanvin is not on sale. There was the Mulberry Bayswater bag again *and I had to pull the bag off to one side because it was the only one there haha HOG!*, and I was strangely attracted to it once more. I saw the bag being used by Kate Moss and it appealed to me. Remember when I blogged about that bag? I loved it til the day I got to “test drive” the bag in Singapore– because it was a bit heavy. Today, upon closer inspection, I found that the bag really is made of top quality leather hence the weight. I didn’t mind the weight as much anymore as I once did. Put it this way, after the Paddington, anything else is light 🙂 Does anyone like the Bayswater *aside from me and BB haha*

Alexander Mc Queen is also stocked by Nordstrom’s. The same old cutesy Novak bags, this time in patent blue with white polka dots. How funky is that!

Loro Piana is also housed under the mall. Nice white bag there… but expensivo and the brand is not as mainstream.

The obligatory Vuitton visit proved unfruitful. No miroir speedy or damier azur speedy for my friend. Sorry girl! But check out that steamer– doesn’t that also remind you of the HAC Hermes *and vice versa*?

Saks Fifth Avenue had the new Miu Miu bags *I love the “folds”*. Soo pretty and supple were the bags that had they been on sale, I would’ve been so tempted to take one.

Select Pucci bags are on sale, but none of them were cheap enough (thank God for eluxury!!).

Valentino bags, anyone? I just liked their evening bags, but none of the leather bags appeal to me… yet… 🙂

At the end of the evening, we were SO HUNGRY, so we headed over to Lawry’s Carvery *yes, the famous Lawry’s for their steak!*. Well this was the fastfood version of Lawry’s, but it’s good enough. There is no Lawry’s in Northern California.

My DBs had the Prime Rib 6 oz platter with a side of creamed corn *DROOL*
DH and I had the super delicious prime rib sandwich with bleu cheese, arugula, and tomatoes. I asked for au jus for this sandwich. It was by far the BEST gourmet beef sandwich I’ve ever had… Oh and I Loooove Arby’s too *cheap AND good*, but this takes the cake!!

I hope you all had a wonderful read for this entry. I will try to add more reports about the places we went to tomorrow 🙂 We went to Disneyland, Universal Studios, San Diego Zoo, and *YEAH* South Coast Plaza Mall *twice!*. And oh the climate out in LA was just SOOO COLD. I am actually coming down with colds *sniff*. And ugh let’s not even talk about traffic!!!

But here’s the obligatory tourist shot of LA, one that I took while I drove the famille to Universal Studios 🙂

Night hags!! And HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Tell me all about your New Year’s celebration, please! And your new year’s resolutions hahaha… 🙂

*Cough* You wanted to know about my loot? *dies* I am too ashamed… Why don’t we all reveal our purchase sins altogether? 😀

P.S. PLEASE don’t SMS text me on my regular Globe number because there was that Taiwan earthquake which affected connection of Globe. I have absolutely no signal and it only comes on one or two bars every so often, so all my texts are not answered promptly. If you have a bag emergency and need to reach me, please SMS text me at (+1415) 283-5591. Thanks!
