Travelog: Portofino & Santa Margherita + Firenze

After our Cinque Terre visit, we proceeded to Portofino, the “mini” playground of the rich and famous (and here comes the wannabe *ahem, ME!*, wanting to play in that playground hahaha)
The piazza itself is not really big, so you’ve got the quaintest little designer shops that line the street.

That said though, the town may not be big but there sure are some big yachts that dock here. The Italian president, Silvio Berlusconi also owns a villa here in Portofino. So there are a lot of “big shots” that spend a considerable amount of their time away from work here.

It’s such a picturesque fishing village and is very difficult for anyone not to fall in love with this place.

Was so tempted to go sailing! These old buildings overlook the beautiful Ligurian coast.

I think these boats are all privately owned though…
And then there was that opportunity to visit the town’s teeny tiny Hermes boutique 🙂 *It’s the “cutest” Hermes store I’ve been in!*
My brother just couldn’t stop taking my photos!! *I kinda felt harassed at this point– look at my facial expression hahaha*
A Wicker and Leather Hermes Kelly!

Then we went off to the neighboring town, Santa Margherita

Kayaking anyone?
We headed back to Firenze for our last night in Tuscany.

And of course, what’s a night in Firenze without having drinks with old friends from LUISA VIA ROMA at Colle Bereto?  *Cami: Mi Manchi!*

Ciao Tuscany!! On to Capri next– the real vacation began there for me 🙂
