Travelog: Milan 2009

From Como, we went to Milan. Once we checked into our hotel, we asked to be driven to the “mall”. Hahaha how very cultural of us.

We headed straight to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The street leading up to the Galleria was lined with shops, so we walked around.

Dirk Bikkembergs. Huge billboard! Those men were all hunky good lookin’ 😀

Frankie MorelloFresh off the Easter holiday

I espy someone talking on the phone… A real person. Do you see him? 🙂

Gelato!!!!!
Of course I have to show you photos of bag stores 🙂 This post isn’t complete without bag pictures 😀
Atlas bags 😀 You will know your geography when you have this bag. I think! 🙂

We finally reached Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, which is a beautiful covered arcade (for shopping and for eating). It is very ideally situated just right beside the Piazza del Duomo and is also connected to the Piazza della Scala. What’s really interesting to note here is that the arcade is actually 4 intersecting buildings that are covered by arching glass per section. The central area where 4 buildings meet is covered by a glass dome.

We were all hungry so we got a table at the nearest restaurant. I ordered insalata caprese (natch!)

Simply the best!!

Fettucine ai funghi (or wait, I think this was tagliatelle). No matter. This pasta was superb!!! *drools*

After dinner, we walked around a bit more and I took this shot of the beautiful Duomo. Milan’s a beautiful city! Home of Prada hahaha! Oh and here’s a fun fact: Did you know that Prada opened its very first shop in Milan back in 1913? 🙂

P.S.
Happy birthday to my dear friend DinaV of D! Luxe 🙂 and Special thanks to designer Rosanna Ocampo for her Milan tips 🙂

  1. Hi, Mrs. T! Bikkermbergs’ models are most or if not, all Belgian football (European football/soccer) players. Gays are so not welcome! LOL! =]
