Travelog: Day 1- The Baghag has arrived SF!

I travelled on 9/11. And each time I tell that to my friends, they would gawk at me and they’d say “WHY?”

Well I was hoping there’s a travel discount when flying today. But I guess not *muwahahaha* I am already freeloading here to begin with. DM paid for my trip *generous DM, eh? :)* Don’t expect me to have the moolah to fly to the US! I don’t even have enough free miles yet *Cheapskate hag! hahaha*

Anyway, the whole airport was DESERTED. It was near empty! There were only 100 people on the plane!! It was insane! The flight attendant said “the flights are near full each time of travel to SF, especially during weekends. Except on 9/11.” Jackpot. DM gets an empty seat beside her, and I too, get an empty side beside me. Ahhhhh… A quiet night it will be on the plane. Of course I was praying that there would be no 9/11 repeat. *whew!*

I slept most of the night 😀 I had red wine to accompany my seafood medley dish. You know, it’s always better to feel slightly buzzed, especially with turbulence 🙂 It was quite a turbulent flight, but none of those several feet drops that I’ve gone through in the past *now THAT was scary*

We finally arrived SF. It was already 8pm then. We went to the local supermarket Safeway to get food and necessities. I still remember how we would go to Safeway at 3 in the morning before, because we were bored and there were no other stores open at 3am. Except Safeway 😀

Roses upon our entry. They’re so prettty… *heart* Gosh I didn’t realize how much I missed Safeway til tonight 🙂

Veggies!!!! If I lived here, I would’ve gotten so fat so fast. Yes, eating veggies. 101 ways! (Creamy and fatty salad dressings, cheese, au gratin…. oh heck yeah!!)
Tomatoes!! Possibly my most favorite veggie… err make that fruit! Check out the size on that! Organic tomatoes the size of baseballs!

Yellow and orange vine tomatoes
And then there were tons of other fruits.

Beautiful sprays of autumn flowers/ bouquets (very expensivo– $8.99 for dried flowers?!)
Look at those hydrangeas…
And oooh the balloon corner. Our kids looove this side of the market 🙂
I got to grab a copy of Elle Accessories, which I will be poring over tonight after blogging. And ooooh so I checked my mail, and this is what I found 😀 Hehehe the Goyard opening invite. Daaaang. February 2006 😀 *Feeling important baghag AGAIN. Ugh someone thwack me with a dirty roll of newspaper!!*

It’s a very nice night here in San Francisco. About 20 degrees Celsius inland.

I will sign off now. Tomorrow should be a fun day after we get to do the things we need to take care of first 🙂

P.S. Please please identify yourself when you send me an SMS at (+63916) 7580857 or I won’t reply :D. Pardon if it takes long for me to reply (I don’t bring that phone with me all the time).
