Tongue- in- cheek totes!

Today is the launch date of Anya Hindmarch’s “I’m not a Plastic Bag” at Harvey Nichols, HK. So I got a call a few days ago for it, asking if I would like to get one of these babies. So natch, I told the S/A, yes, why not. It’s HK$120, I heard her say. Then she goes, “Ok, you have to pick it up on July 6 coz we cannot hold that bag for you since supply is limited.” I was like, Duh?! Would I spend over US$200 to fly over to HK just to pick up a US$15 bag? Hmm… let’s see if the pros outweigh the cons *muwahaha*. Ok this baghag is still healing from the past bag purchase. So, the answer is No, it’s not worth flying out to HK to pickup that bag. *Sniff sniff*.

To rub more salt to the wound, one of my fave baghags, MS, was able to get her bag a few days ago from the US! *envy ogle envy* (hehe) And here is the most wanted and cheapest designer bag ever produced 🙂ANYA HINDMARCH‘s I’m NOT A PLASTIC bag.

Now I’m gonna have to pull all my bag powers (if I even have any) to try and get this bag and not pay black market price for it *muwahaha*. For those who have low or no EQ *gulp guilty your honor*, you can always get these bags at black market prices in online auction sites… But make sure the bag you get is the authentic Anya “cheap” bag (which is not so cheap now because of lack of supply haha).

This ought to be the perfect bag for the socialclimbing, pretentious, money- hungry baghag (haha I just described myself all too well here!). The US$195 tote spells it out for the world to see. “BILLIONAIRE”. Now if only they put the word “Wanted” right below that word, then it would be a perfect bag to tote *muwahaha*. It’s got a cute factor to the bag and hey, I would not mind toting this 😀 Only downside to this bag is that it’s more expensive than the Anya 🙂

It’s funny to note too, that this Billionaire cotton tote also comes in different styles and in leather. But heck if I already have trouble coughing up $195 for this cotton tote, I’d definitely be up in arms trying to scrounge for $200+ for the leather style. Besides, tongue- in- cheek bags shouldn’t be too expensive. Know what I’d love to have? A tote bag with the word “Social Climber” on it. I know I’d be first on the list to buy the bag *muwahaha*– but then again, I doubt if there’ll be a “list” for a bag with those words printed on it haha. (Psst, someone please make a bag with those words on it! Those bags would make perfect Christmas pressies!! :D)

P.S. The Tresor mobile’s been sorta konking out on the past two days. We’ve been getting garbled messages that we obviously can’t read *sniff*. (That’s what happens when you’re too cheap to buy yourself a new phone *Hahaha*) So, to baghags who texted, please bear with us if there’s no reply. *Snicker JackieT is a cheapskate*. Promise I’ll replace the phone soon 🙂

P.P.P.S. Woohoo, tomorrow is DH’s and Mrs.T’s wedding anniversary! Whoa, we’ve survived six long years of bag bickering *muwahaha*. But heyyy, in all six years of our married life, DH has become more discriminating with his bag tastes 🙂 Those bag bickering years were truly worth it after all 🙂 Thanks for sharing your life with me, DH 😀
