You made a VERY wise decision to get this classic bag!!

Here’s something that I got in mail from hot preggymama PT who had lunched out with her lovely Hermes buds, and this photo was taken by peanutbabycakes. Talk about some serious Hermes eye candy! One crocodile Birkin, one ostrich Birkin, and 3 eye-popping Kellys!! This photo is enough to give me more unnecessary palpitations! *drops dead*

And lastly, to answer your queries, birkins come in these sizes: 25cm, 30cm, 35cm, 40cm, 45cm (yes there were 45cm ones with long handles, but these are not to be mistaken for the JPG shoulder birkins), 42cm (JPG shoulder birkin), then there are the HAC (haut a courroies) sized 28cm, 32cm, 45cm, 50cm, 55cm, and 60cm. the oversize birkins come in sizes 40cm and 50cm. The ones that are over 40cm are pretty darn heavy, but they are also pretty darn pretty 😀 Prices of birkins have increased dramatically since February 1 (worldwide price increase of up to 20% I think). So now, for a 30cm you are looking at paying at least US$7,400 and for a 35cm at least US$8,500 give or take, depending on the leather. If you can get your hands on a preowned one that’s under that price and still in good condition, I’d totally go for it *muwahaha go for broke, hags!! Bad bad*. The good thing about these babies is 10 years from now, you will still see that same style. It’s really a classic. Forever. And these are the same classic pieces that really transcend time and trend (on a more affordable *thank Gawd* scale, the LV speedy– though nowhere in the price league of a birkin, it is still an iconic bag that has transcended trend, and is definitely an “investment” worthy bag.) These pieces will always be “in fashion” hence my seal of approval! 😀

Gotta get going now. I rested up last night (took Benadryl for allergies) and slept fairly better than those last few weeks *yay!*. So now I gotta get out of the house and do some real work *yeah, the one that pays the bills*. But before that, I am going to pay a visit to jeweller JDizon-Hoschka, who has a private viewing of her new jewellery collection today (before it hits Firma!), utilizing enamel and shagreen as well as semi precious stones. Sounds very, very interesting!! No worries, I will post photos as always 🙂 And don’t even think about it, I’m broke, remember? Unless someone is interested to buy my Hermes croc 28cm Kelly? *muwahaha shameless I tell you!*
