Thebaghag’s verdict is in: Miu Miu and Prada Bags Reign Supreme

Ahhh how we baghags are in dire need of a really good “vavavoom” bag lately. This season, it seemed like no bag was really up to this opinionated baghag’s standards. That was of course, before I came up close and personal with this Miu Miu bag.
This pleated leather bag comes in cream, silver *woohoo metallic!*, brown, black, and some tie-dye colors (which I don’t really care for). The leather is sooo soft, and the bag is just soo light. I love that it has the detachable shoulder strap. Realllly reallly liking the bag mucho! The bag is available at Miu Miu for the same price as a Hermes togo leather dogon wallet *hehe I’d get the bag… wouldn’t you? 😀 Ugh hate this purse purchase ban :(*

Another bag that had shown so much promise earlier on was the Chloe Bay Bag. It really is a pretty bag up close, but like the Paddington, it is very heavy. If you can carry heavy bags with ease, then this bag might work for you. But I’ve had it with heavy bags, so this doesn’t make the grade for moi.

Celine Bittersweet Bag. Nice bag! The leather on this bag is pebbled and textured. I had actually thought it was made of smooth leather, which made me think it’s a high maintenance bag. I was wrong. This seems like a good schlepping bag especially in a darker color. But me being me, I’d get the white one. 🙂

Chanel has this huge bugatti (alma) bag in deep red. I’m still quite undecided about the bag. But you know what, Chanel’s been selling a lot of bags lately (although the Biarritz isn’t really anywhere within the vicinity of the Coco Cabas in terms of sales). Chanel has also run out of the jumbo classic flap (the logo’d 2.55) ! So if you have one right now, I suggest you keep the bag *and you can very well thank your lucky stars that you have one :D*. Between that and the new bugatti bag? The jumbo classic is a keeper! And yeah, I’m still waiting for a preowned Coco Cabas tote 😀 Can’t afford the new one! Besides, they’re no longer available!!!

Gucci’s silver leather monogrammed bags are quite interesting. I like the sheen on the bags. I’m not sold on that bag in the far right though.

Prada gauffre bags. Now these Prada leather gauffre bags are, like the Miu Miu ones, yummy. Two thumbs up!! For the price though, I would consider the Miu Miu more, just because they are not as expensive, and are still really by Prada. Same banana, girls! Oh and lookit that middle bag. I like her 🙂 Pssst, RubyG— is that the bag you wanted?? These are the more expensive versions of Marc’s Little Miss Marc 😀 (Well the Prada lady is more chic… by a mile!! :D)

Louis Vuitton patchwork bags. Umm… these denim patchwork bags are quite hideous. Initially I had thought the patchwork speedy is a nice addition to an LV afficionado’s collection. But hmm I had to reassess that statement after I saw the bag. Sorry but it’s just not doing anything for me. I’d much rather have the dentelle speedy (I love the darkened handles, saves us the trouble of worrying over an unwanted uneven patina due to use). I think the only piece I’m coveting from LV this season is the Esterelle brocade ballerina slippers. Unfortunately, they are not available in Manila. They have to be ordered still and that would take two months 🙁 *sniff * By the time they arrive, it’ll be way past Mother’s Day *muwahaha* so much for asking for that from my DKs (DH has to foot the bill muwahaha)… shame on Material Mama (wooohoo new term for me! MM!) Ugh ok time to take a step back and NOT ask for anything *oooh the pressure of restraining oneself from asking for something!! Tsk tsk, did I say restrain??? Why, that’s behavior unbecoming of a materialistic, biatchy baghag wannabe!!*

Here’s a post-ender for you. Would you want THIS as the facade of your home? Now you can really say, you “have” an LV trunk 😀 And oh in Damier Azur too! (In keeping with the times haha) 😀

P.S. keep guessing what my “Project” is 🙂 For those who already know, don’t spoil the surprise 😀 Hahaha *wink wink!* I want it to be near perfect when I announce it. *ugh Drama queeeeeen baghag!!!* So, please pardon me a bit if my upcoming posts are rather short. I’m really pretty stressed out, and I barely managed to get a good massage today (and thank goodness I actually managed to get it!!)
