Thebaghag tries the Tai Tai Lifestyle (and fails)

I’m so happy that I’m back. I have been spending time with my children and DH. It’s really been amazing to have traveled so far and come back home to my true love, my family. No amount of bags, jewellery, and shoes can keep this baghag happy. All it really takes at the end of the day, is family.

And friends! The day after I came back, I met up with my old friends from our days at the Weddings magazine. I miss these girls. I miss working with them. They’re the best! DaphneP as you all already know, is the chic host of Urban Zone, JoanS is managing editor of a new magazine launching in October called Travel Super (or Tsuper! Catchy name!), FionaL came back from London (she took up shoe design!! We’re hoping she’ll come out with her shoe line soon!), and MelC who is now editor of Look Magazine (published by Inquirer and coming out real soon!).

And then you have me. Lazy Me. Good for nothing me. I’ve been draining the economy. That’s my only achievement that I can actually write about on this space *Sob*. I still don’t have a permanent job. I mean, sure, I do write here and there, but nothing beats ONE real job (to be a tai tai hahahaha). Pffffft, all hopes faded when I said that…. hahaha.

Anyway as I was saying, after that lunch at M Cafe with the “Girls”, I was also able to have a nice merienda cena with ChrisL at the Pen (ohmyGawd I’m craving for scones right now…). She had given me such a lovely dress– I am grateful for this because I didn’t really shop for clothes when I was in SF. I merely tried on a lot of them, but walked away with nil. So once again, ChrisL, thanks so much!! I really love it!

I love it so much in fact, that I wore it to my dinner with the elusive, jetsetting Bryanboy at Elbert’s Steak Room last night. It was great to catch up with BB who just came back from Australia/ Hong Kong. I swear, he’s a superstar. All the press in HK and Australia just adored him 🙂 I was asking about the Sunburst BB bag since I hadn’t seen it in San Francisco (they didn’t have them in yet), and Bryan said it’s due to arrive here soon at Marc Jacobs. (SSI should be paying you, babe. hahaha). Anyway, I didn’t bring my camera last night *of all the times, right?*, so I had to grab BB’s photo of my dress (from ChrisL) with my shoes and my bag hahaha. So you asked what loot I got from Paris, right? It’s the shoes! 😀 *I know, I’m going back to shoes again! But they’re seriously sooo comfy. I never realized Givenchy made such comfortable shoes. I honestly would never have purchased them if they weren’t. God knows I don’t need more corn on my feet. Corn should remain on the cob, damnit. 😉

Sigh… now back to what I had last night. Yes, I had steak again*loooove*. Super Prime Rib Eye. It was ginormous. And I finished it all (well I didn’t eat the fat this time hahaha… yes, yes so I admit to having eaten the fat before! Tsk). Thank you Liza and Elbert for the lovely time and the bubbly 🙂

This is not doing my diet any good since I also had steak the other day at Pepper Lunch with bagpimp ML *she likes being called bagpimp, so there– I swear, it was not my idea to call her that haha*. But bah, no matter. What’s the point of living life if you can’t enjoy good food and good company, right? 🙂 *And Amen to the Wii Fit, which I had gotten for DH in San Francisco– will post photos of that soon… it’s hilarious!!!*

Anyway, I guess it’s time I stop dillydallying and start working. I can’t be called a lady who lunches and dines (funds would run out eventually, you know…). Sooo I better get my bootie out of this chair and get ready for my first meeting of the day. Looooooooong day ahead. Thank God for the coming weekend 🙂

Here’s a Valentino bag to make this post easier on your eyes 😀 *hehe* The Valentino Allure Ruffled bag.You gotta loooove this bag, non? Priced at $2,495.00 at NeimanMarcus.com
