Thebaghag takes in The Imelda Collection and Jul B. Dizon Jewellery Salon Sale!!

So sorry for not posting yesterday. I was sick as a dog by the time I came into my house. I was so gone– coupled with this nagging asthma, wow, muy terrible. It’s funny how doing nothing gets me tired and sick. I guess I was never meant to become a taitai *Gag! Guffaw!* I need to find some serious work so that there will be some kind of normalcy, some sort of routine in my life– hello, I need to be uber productive! *not reproductive– haha factory is closed this year thank you!*. I need to fund expensive habits!! If I find a serious job, perhaps that would kick my un-health bug!

Hahaha, but ey, I am working– sorta. I bring you the latest events in my life! *Bleep bleep, self- centered baghag alert!* Actually, I attended two events yesterday– two events which brought me double happiness 😀 Eye candy– jewelry and bags!

The Imelda Collection shopping event features fine jewellery line now as well as new pieces from her fashion accessory line (which included carved pigs!). Mrs.M was so thrilled about the twig brooches with the foil cameos that she decided she was going to buy a few pieces of that as well 🙂 It was quite an event because pieces from the fine jewellery collection were exquisite– look for those marvelous collection of cabochon earrings/ rings/ bracelets. Cabochons are so beautiful– I personally want cabochon stones because they are so understated and yet very elegant. Pieces range from Php 30K up for a pair of cab earrings.

Religioso also had their beautiful tops on display, and today, yours truly wore a Religioso 🙂 I may be sick, but today I just hafta feel gooood! Oh and did you know that you can have their shirts custom- fit? Now THAT’s what I call a good, tailored white shirt! *Anne Fontaine eat your heart out haha* Pssst, ignore the bag *I’m one dead and ugly duck… I am not ashamed to admit that I am in the financial red muwahahahaha! I am in dire need of red pockets for Chinese New Year!!*

Seen in the event were all these lovely bags (haha not baghags hahaha), and you know the shallow baghag– I got my “fill ” for the week 🙂

EAI with her beautiful Goyard jeanne GMCAC toting her jawdropping Hermes etoupe kelly
MC and her daughter KC also dropped by, and MC was carrying an LV red epi speedy
Even my very pregnant friend PYW who was having twins in 2 weeks was there, carrying Gucci 🙂 And there was another woman carrying Gucci 🙂

I ended up staying a bit longer than I originally planned because my friend MelC of Metro Magazine (get the latest issue of Metro by the way 🙂 passed by as well, but I had to rush out to make it to the Jul B. Dizon Jewellery Salon’s grand sale. It’s definitely not to be missed!!! I decided to go to the Edsa Shangrila Hotel branch because there were more things there. But I will pass by Manila Peninsula’s tomorrow. Anyway, I barely made it to Edsa Shangrila Hotel (talk about traffic!!). It was already quite late when I arrived, and there was still a steady stream of people coming into the boutique.

Hags, if you can drop serious cash on bags, then I don’t think you should hesitate to drop a few Gs on pieces like this:

Beautiful coral drop earrings with diamonds set in oxidized gold for that vintage-y feel. (the coral quality is exquisite!)

These brown diamond earrings just looked sooo darned good on my ears!

For the newbie jewellery hags, you can start out with these statement-worthy “leathered” silver cuff with semi precious stones. This is perfect with jeans on a hot date or a nice night out with friends, or even at parties paired with your favorite little black dress!Trust me, this bangle is within your budget if you can buy an LV Pandora Bag.

And here is actually one ring that I fell in love with– (calling all jewelry afficionados) this was long sold but since I got a hold of the photo of it, I just cannot not show it to you all! Look at the details! It’s a remarkable work of wearable art! I actually sent this photo to the jewelry people at W magazine and they just loved it!! *Hopefully a sign of good things to come! We need fashion “exports” from the Philippines because we have so much talent! Well, not me per se *gag*, but you know, people like the folks at Jul Dizon, Bea Valdez, Rafe Totengco, Celestina… :)*

For the pieces that are on sale, prices start at about Php 20,000 (there might be some lower than 20K! Go see for yourself). There are so much more that I’d love to put on this page (oh, oh, remember those carved flower rings? Only 2 rings left!) but I had to run off already, plus they were about to pack up for the day. If you missed the sale yesterday, you still have one more day to go! Today is the last day!!

The Imelda Collection shopping event is located at Pacific Plaza Condominium’s bar lounge– Ayala Avenue Makati (pinkish building across Rustan’s). Event starts from 2:00pm til 6:00pm. Jul B. Dizon Jewellery salon will also be open tomorrow for their last day of the sale– go to either Manila Peninsula Hotel (Mezzanine level) or to Edsa Shangrila Hotel (ground level). I love promoting things that I enjoy looking at or am hoping to have one day 🙂 I hope you also enjoy my jewellery posts as much as my bag posts. It’s high time that we all get our fill of beautiful investment pieces– forget that empty parcel of land. You can’t wear the land title on your neck nor can you make a few pieces of paper into a bag 😀 *teehee I just loooove justifying our expensive “sins” and vices, don’t I?*

But here’s one thing that stuck to my mind when Mrs.M told the story about how jewellery got her parents and siblings through the hard times during the Japanese occupation– jewellery could very well be our salvation one day. If not that, it sure is one great excuse to buy them 🙂 February is jewellery month *heart heart*, but ooh let me just also mention briefly for the baghags: Prada will be having another markdown on their already-on-sale bags effective today at Greenbelt 4. *Dies*

I gotta get some shuteye. One of my friends (he’s a pulmonary doctor) who came by tonight for our other pregowego friend’s baby shower (and also a mini celebration of my DT’s 2nd birthday teehee) told me to take it easy the next few days (someone took advantage of his professional opinion on my health tonight haha*). So maybe I’ll do just that. After all, I got my fill today and it should already last me through the whole month 😀 *wink CAC and CD*

I just wanted to say hello to my friend SH *hey dude!* (Ok so this is not exactly the perfect venue to say hello, but since you work late into the night, I figured I should just “monumentalize” my hello instead of our pingpong emails *guffaw… ok so I’m getting tired of emailing one liners back and forth hahaha*
