TheBaghag goes to JUL B. DIZON ‘s 28th anniversary

Yes, thebaghag Mrs.T decided to attend an afternoon tea party/ jewellery event. But of course, I had to go, it’s an event like no other!

It was Jul B. Dizon Jewellery Salon’s 28th anniversary, and they had all these beayooootiful jewellery that any lover of allthingsexpensive cannot miss! I mean, talk about overflowing jewellery, and a lot of them were very reasonably priced (for the financially challenged i.e. me).

But before I delve into the yummy joallerie pieces that were just meant to be mine *alas I don’t have the bank account to back that “statement” up hahahaha!! Oh how I wish!!!*, I was SO surprised that this event was eye candy Not just because of the jewellery, but also because of the BAGS!!

What would a broke baghag do at a jewellery event apart from ogle jewels? Ogle bags of course!! This event was all the more memorable because it was like an Hermes bag convention!! Oh My Gawd, this is the equation of the afternoon– Jul’s breathtaking jewellery + Hermes bags= orgasmic event! *Scream!! I was breathing the SAME Hermes air as these hags!!! Scream scream!! Faint!!*

Hahaha ok, I gotta regain composure (I was starstruck by the bags hahaha) Tsk. Poise, poise. *Heaven forbid, I am already a social(climbing/reject) hag, and we socialite (wannabes) don’t display such disgusting outpour of excitement over bags *awwww stuff it, we all know I am uncouth anyway! Muwahahaha *

I spyyy… an HERMES gold ostrich kelly! WooooHooo an exotic skinned Kelly! NP carried her pretty baby to the joallerie event, and boy her bag did stand out!

There it was. An impromptu Hermes convention! Darn I shudda taken out the Croc (so I can act like the self-righteous pretentious baghag that I am hahahaha, tsk!), but it’s raining hard here and I don’t like carrying any bag other than Goyard when it rains (although today was an exception, I just brought my old, practically vintage Fendi baguette)

I was also lucky enough to rub bags (hehe) with JD jewellery designer JennyDH, who looked absolutely glowing in her last month of pregnancy (meanwhile I remember looking like a whale blimp with an acne farm when I was 9 months pregnant *shudder not a pretty sight, I tell ya*)

And here is JD’s super talented jewellery designer CandyD with DoyeeT (check out that 40carat+ emerald brooch! And oh did I mention she has a jawdropping white and clean, 11 carat asscher cut diamond ring? *Gasp, Jawdrop, Stun, Shock, Awe*)

Drat, I didn’t even get to take photos of Cedric, Jeanie, Lucille, and JUL (geez the host, how could I not have taken her photo! *kicking myself in the head*). Sigh, but bottom line, this afternoon tea event Totally “Frosted” me. I could not tear myself away from the jewels. Tsk. I broke my piggybank a little over 5 minutes ago to see if I can afford something *teehee*. Anyone care to sponsor me? *giggle!!*

At the end of this high tea party, Jul gave away prizes like Proud Mary bags, a Belo gift certificate worth 20K, Jul Dizon gift certificate worth 50K (DAAAAAAANG!!!!! I could’ve used that for that “cross” ring I liked!!!) and I know who won it too– and it ain’t me!! And many more prizes (I swear I wish I won, but I couldn’t have because I didn’t even qualify to enter the contest– hello freeloading leeches like me don’t deserve to qualify to win high ticket prizes!! *muwahaha*)

So baghags, set aside your bag fund for now and head over to Jul Dizon Jewellery Salon at Edsa Shangrila Hotel or at the Mezzanine of the Manila Peninsula Hotel, Makati. You never know, you might score a bauble or bling at a bargain (and I’m not kidding when I say that– rings for as low as Php 15,000! ). You can always save up again for a bag *wink!!*
