Thebaghag “blinded” by bags :D *bag review*

Thank you very much for the support on the story about JS’ “close encounter with the scamming kind.” We will keep you posted of any developments on that matter. It’s sad to hear about stories like that, and it makes it all the worse if you know the aggrieved party. This is really a rude awakening not just for JS and I, but for all of us. We should not just trust any one seller with our money without doing due diligence on him/her before transacting , whether it be $6 or $6,000– because remember, each cent we pay, is still hard earned (unless of course you have a trust fund or you have a very encouraging husband/partner *muwahaha* but seriously even then, that money is still hard-earned by someone)

So let’s talk about today. I don’t want to gross you hags out, but I felt the need to share this gory info *eeeeeew*. I have a serious eye infection (it’s not all pus *hahaha now ok, I overshared hehehe*). I actually thought, oh gawd, it’s a stye. Being the hypochondriac that I am, I went to see a doctor for it. DM scared the living daylights out of me when she said “oh they’ll have to prick that and it’ll hurt.” (I was thinking, oh my Gawd, I will go blind!!!!!)

Tsk hehehe. I am so paranoid. Turns out it was just some little oil gland that had some blockage, causing that part of my eyelid to get infected. Nothing serious that Fucithalmic drops (prescribed topical med) can’t cure. So I hope to be a-ok by tomorrow. I better be. I am meeting up with the Metro gals, and I will also be seeing hot new mom DaphP tomorrow 🙂

Today, I felt somewhat inspired to talk about new bags. After all, the fall season bags should be trickling right about…. now. 😀

CARSHOE. Oh woohoo, lookie, doesn’t the bag remind you of the Lanvin Kansas? It’s a fairly conservative design that I’m taking to as of late. Uh-oh, just remembered my Lanvin. I actually haven’t used her because I’ve been airing her out (smells like it was kept in the closet for a long time). But she is lovely, and so is this Carshoe Zip tote! For US$1,295.00

MIUMIU. I find this bag totally cute! It sits proudly like a fat satin pillow, doesn’t it? 🙂 (Bag is made of nappa leather) At US$1,080, this bag has a nice set of hinged top handles, which compliment the detachable chain strap should you decide to carry the bag on your shoulder.

MARC JACOBS. Oh MarcJ, why oh why did you have to come out with this beautiful bag (in black too!)? I’m loving that it’s python (and oh great, not available in CA– so what else is new *sniff*). The nice tortoiseshell frame bag has a detachable gold chain- tortoiseshell link strap as well. Looks like this bag can seriously pack it all in, making it all the more desirable. The bag costs a hefty sum of US$2,800 and will be deliverable sometime in September still. *dreamy look*

And now, our lust-for list would just not be complete without one bugly bag (some serious juxtaposition has to be done here or I wouldn’t be called a self-righteous, opinionated, smarta$ baghag wannabe for nothing! *snicker*)

ISABELLA FIORE.This treasure-print tote is for those who would like to take their love for the celluloid (think the recent hits of the Pirates of the Carribean bilogy) OR ok, ok, fashion-wise, Thomas Wylde Skull designs with them wherever they go. But wait, of course I darenot compare this bag to Thomas Wylde’s designs *shame on me!* (TW skull bags are biker chic). This Isabella Fiore bag design is just bastardized beyond recognition (skull and crossbones and a heart patch avec Guns N Roses fleurs don’t equal biker chic- cuteness). Sorry Isabella Fiore, and sorry to those who can actually stomach carrying this bag. But THIS bag wins the bugly bag of the week, hands down. And come on, charge US$675 for this bag? Indeed this bag is a true testament to “US$600 these days can’t really buy you a decent ‘designer’ bag anymore”. Frankly, if it were a toss- up between carrying this bag and my tiangge (flea market) bought “Bangkok” bag worth Php 700 (US$13), I’d rather tote my affordable but pretty “Bangkok” bag, thank you very much. *hehe ok was I mean?*

Ok hags, enough biatching already. It’s time to give this old hag’s eyelid a rest. 😀
