The “X” factor and Barneys.com bag review

So now I can finally tell peeps about Tresorie’s appearance on DaphP’s show, Urban Zone early this morning. Yeah we got featured 🙂 *here goes the bragbaghag again!!* DaphP, thank you thank you thank you for featuring our shop 🙂 *screams, “We’re not worthy! We’re not worthy!”*

Speaking of DaphP, I am soooo pleased to announce that DaphP’s baby girl LilyP is going to be on the COVER of Baby Magazine!!! I am soooo excited for her 🙂 This is such a big deal since Baby Magazine is soo selective when it comes to their covers, and pretty little Lily made it because she has that X factor 🙂 *yeah, even baby models need that X factor to make it to magazine covers haha* CONGRATULATIONS Baby Lily!!! 🙂 Buy the June issue of Baby Magazine at your favorite magazine stands now 🙂

So wait, before I forget, I remember a friend was asking about the absence of Goyard at Barneys.com and if Barneys still carries Goyard. The answer is, yes, Barneys *Bev Hills and NY* carry Goyard bags, and the reason why Goyard is no longer at Barneys.com is most likely because the brand wanted to keep the “exclusivity” by not maintaining online presence. You want the bag, go to the store 🙂 *I love it!!! The snoot factor certainly appeals to me haha* Makes sense actually. I love that it’s hard to get the bag. *ding ding snooty socialclimbing biatch alert!!*

And here’s another sumthin’ sumthin’ from Barneys.com

Lanvin Kansas Tote. THIS bag is on my “lust-for” list. I know, this bag was on a lust-for list some seasons ago– it’s got that “je ne sais quois X factor” appeal. I had this same bag in brown but then again, I don’t think I can keep a brown bag in my closet that long because I don’t know how to work a “brown” bag (so I sold it). I only maintain one brown bag (I swear I can’t find clothes to match brown bags with). My only brown bag is a Bottega intrecciato hobo (which I really want to keep :D) But now that this white Lanvin showed up, I knew I had to have it! It’s soooo immaculate and “virginal” *muwahaha*. Don’t you just love it? Of course the main problem remains– can we keep this bag pristine- looking forever? With the right amount of love and care, I’m sure I can do good *ok don’t mind me, I’m convincing myself here*. Love it love it love it! Priced at US$1,815 (also available in metallic for US$2030).

Givenchy Medium Nightingale Tote. Now this bag reminded me of the YSL Downtown tote initially. I’m not too big a fan of the YSL downtown tote because the sides look like batwings 😀 *sorry for that comment, YSL fans hehe*. But after a more thorough look at this Givenchy, I realized this bag is nowhere near the downtown tote in terms of style. I’ve somewhat subscribed to the belief that the more complicated in design a bag is, the less appealing it is to me (think Isabella Fiore… too “busy”!). This nightingale bag is soo simple and almost nondescript. But it has that “X” factor (haha here I go again with the X factor). I’m loving it too. Priced at US$1,295.

Ok gotta have lunch now. More later 🙂

  1. Hi Mrs. T,

Just want to ask your valuable opinion about the PRADA Tessuto Gaufre’ in Black (the runched style in fabric with leather trim). I bought one in Madrid recently. It was the predominant style displayed in their store in different materials, sizes and colors with the runching as the common denominator. The shape and size works well for me. Was it worth buying it to be used as an everyday bag? Sometimes I look at it and can’t decide if I really like it or not. HELP! I can’t sleep.

    Thank you.

  2. I thought I would let you all know that Barneys New York in Boston (Copley Place) also carries Goyard — just another location to get your Goyard fix!

  3. Thanks for giving us the “exclusive”!!!

My turn for shameless self-promotion, the Urban Zone episode featuring Tresorie will air in The Filipino Channel (TFC) week of June 9-17. Please check cable carriers for local sched as it varies in every region.
