I loooved the dress on her. And no, this is NOT a safe choice, as pundits had not-too-long ago labeled her style choices as.

Oh and before I forget, I want to bring the topic of royal protocol when it came to shoes– it was once mentioned that women who attend events with the Royals present were requested to wear closed- toe shoes (court shoes were preferred, apparently). I had begun to notice that when it came to formal affairs, all the Royals wore court shoes! But on occasions like these, Catherine is seen wearing her favorite Jimmy Choo heels– sandals. Does anyone know if this was a break in royal protocol? I’ve never seen the older Royals wear strappy sandals to formal affairs. Did anyone notice?
