The Lead Up to the Tod’s “Campus” Factory Visit

After having taken a 4 hour train drive from Milan to Ancona plus a drive from Ancona to Fermo, we arrived at our hotel, Villa Lattanzi.
I got to my room to find a handwritten note of welcome from the hotel director. Yes, it’s really all in the details, and Villa Lattanzi already wins major points for this handwritten note.

My room was very cozy… I was so drawn to the bed already. I just wanted to melt into the bed (still have jetlag). It was really sooo inviting! But ahh the window has a much better pull, I’m afraid.

Oh I could just sit by the window and stare at this. Something about this view is soooo calming…

Seriously, I could get used to this view!

Even the toilet’s got a view to write home about!

After dropping off our things at the hotel, we headed straight to Casa de Campo in Villa Luciani.

Shot as we were leaving Casa de Campo

It was raining when we got there, with the sun sporadically peeking from the dark clouds. It was so pleasant to be there, and having excellent company (the Tod’s PR team + select press people) made it all the more special.

The food was excellent as well. I could have gone for seconds at the antipasti “bar”

We couldn’t decide on what pasta to have, so the Tod’s team decided to order one of each dish to share. It was a nice “family” lunch!

My favorite pasta had to be the tomato- based orecchiette which had a nice tangy aftertaste. The cheesy spaghetti was really sinful and rich as well.
The real fun began after the meal, where we headed off to the Tod’s “campus” factory. I can tell you right now that after the visit, I was more than impressed. I left wanting to know even more about the brands within the company. I felt so inspired. And in my next post or so, I will share the Tod’s experience with you. You’ll never look at Tod’s merchandise the same way again. It’s really a different level of respect. Of the highest order.
Good night for now, I need to sleep because we are traveling out of Fermo at 6:00 am! Milan Fashion Week officially begins tomorrow! Please do follow me on twitter.com/thebaghag should you be interested in “up-to-the-minute” updates 🙂
