The heat is ON (in Manila!!)

Hi everyone! I am finally back from my 2 week trip which took me to Moscow- Saint Petersburg- London, and then that overnight and super last minute side trip to Paris (and I’ll tell you why in a bit).
I wonder why Emirates would always use their older planes to fly out from Manila to Dubai. An older plane was likewise used on our flight from Dubai to Moscow. But when I flew back from Paris to Dubai, the newer plane was used. And wheeee, when I get the chance to travel business class, it’s always a luxury I never fail to enjoy (because when I travel on my own, I can’t afford business class– but oye, I’m proud to be a member of the cattle class hehe :D)
Oh and I say out loud that I can’t afford to travel business class when I pay for it out of my own pocket lest people start thinking or saying this again– “Wow, I knew you were rich, but not that rich!” *yes, someone actually left that very comment on twitter for me! How about that?!! Hahaha geez *
Anyway, what was out of my own pocket (every single cent of which is hard- earned by the way) was used to pay for my new loot 😀

The Oversized Mulberry Alexa in Oak Buffalo  🙂 *I am soooo happy to have this bag. I love it!!!*

These are the Emirates seats I love.

Because they go flat.

Like a real bed 🙂 A flight attendant prepared this bed for me, like they do to all other business class passengers.

But before we all slept, food was served.

There was foie gras (the canned kind), and before PETA decides to send me a letter about this, I think they should just send a letter to Emirates for serving it. I didn’t ask for this, it was given to me and when someone gives, I happily take 😀 So yes, PETA, you can take up that issue with food services at Emirates, ok? Not with me.
Truth it be told, I enjoyed the salad on the left a lot more than the foie gras. I don’t think serving foie gras on a long haul plane ride was a good idea. Hello bloat bloat bloat!!

I chose the lamb for dinner. Hate to say this, but the lamb meat was tough. But like a good kid, I ate all my veggies and the couscous 🙂
Sooo, now I’m back in Manila. Give me a day or two to get over the nasty jetlag (I was asleep the WHOLE afternoon hahaha), then I will sort out photos and start blogging about my trip 🙂 And will share loads of photos 🙂
P.S. Thanks to Chef Stevie for the hainanese chicken today *I missssed this sooooo much!!!!*, and thanks to CV Travel for arranging my last minute trip to Paris to personally meet with a best- selling author 🙂 I was afraid the trip wouldn’t push through because of the last minute seat procurement on the airlines to go back to Manila from Paris, but everything went swimmingly!! You guys the best!!!

  1. Hello, Mrs. T! I totally agree about the Emirates planes! I don’t understand why they use the old planes, when I would think MNL-DXB-MNL is a pretty lucrative route for them. The flights are always full!

And I’ve been lusting over the Alexa since day one! I want one in ink. I’m soooooo inggiiiiiiit!
