Summer fling + Shopping Events in the City

What a Weekend! I was able to get some nice R&R and am almost 100% rejuv’d! So I finally got my bootie outta bed to go online and sniff out the goings- on in the networld.

And this is the first one: This bag below will sell like hotcakes when it hits the store shelves come Fall 2008– that is, if they’d even make it to store shelves! 🙂
Marc Jacobs did it again with this pandora’s bag. Louis Vuitton black leather Speedy with the stitched in name. How cool is that? The House that Monogram built will yet again be swamped with orders for ze bag. Loving it, it’s got the makings of a classic bag!

Wheeee for the young ‘uns, it’s summer and that means one thing– school’s out and I guess it’s time to hit the beach! Trouble for this baghag is, it has been a decade since I last hung out at one! Yes, I am ashamed to even admit that I’ve never been to Boracay 🙁 It’s kinda pathetic especially since I LIVE in the Philippines, and our country is well known worldwide for our beautiful sandy whites. *Sigh*. Anyway, for those who will go beach hopping this summer, this bag’s perfect.

Vivre Beach Bag. This cotton tote with bright orange straps are perfecto. The straps are wide and very comfortable to carry. Sigh, what a way to start summer– the heat is already on (we’re talking the weather ), and peeps are already wearing shorty shorts and anything that would keep them cool (or rather, people are NOT wearing anything to keep them cool hehehe… streakers come to mind hahahaha). And all these wonderfully bright colors for bags are all over the place! Must buy, must buy!! 🙂

Dior’s Soft Lady Dior Canvas Tote. Now, if you’re not too beachy like me, but would likewise enjoy the fruits of summer (faking going to the beach like me hahaha), you can tote this bag in the city and feel very “resort” 😀 Actually I find this bag very Pucci-esque, but I love the marriage of colors. Prada Turquoise Tessuto Weave Bag. I have this strange feeling that I’ve blogged about this bag before (ok I’m too lazy to check archives, but if there’s someone out there who’d be willing to check, let me know hehe), but what the heck! Turquoise is actually something I’d consider an all-year color more than just one for summer, so I’m willing to re-blog about this bag ‘coz I just looooove this color. Why? I love that this color makes almost everything else pale in comparison. I mean, turquoise on earrings– they just brighten up your face! What more on a bag, right? Speaking of turquoise and earrings, I must mention that Janina for Jul Dizon will be presenting her New Collection on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at her joaillerie salon. I loooove her stuff to bits, if only I were a true tai- tai (not one who has a single cent of debt, take note… that just kills it for me. ‘Coz I still have pending payments to make *SOB*), I would’ve hoarded already 😀 *Methinks: need a serious job. Since it’s already summertime (hehe we don’t have Spring here in Manila), you should be cleaning out your closet of stuff that you no longer use– yes you should also edit your bag closet! There might be a serious overpopulation problem there and you didn’t even know it! 🙂 Now’s also the perfect time to take out those old bags you couldn’t bear to part with for repair, and Vintage Restore does just that. I have what, 4 payment obligations still unpaid, sooo what makes you think I’d have money to buy anything right now?). To those peeps who have got nice jobs, find me one, because this revelation will make me really NEED a job afterwards.
