Spring Forward, Fall “Bag!”

I’m cutting my blog post short tonight because I need to leave the house real early tomorrow for an appointment with DK. Sooo, I’ll move my post about a clothing company that has some interesting pieces to my liking tomorrow. Besides, someone commented earlier that my blog’s becoming a food blog, soooo here are some bags 😉

But this one kinda threw me off. Gucci’s Icon Bit Medium tote. Yours for only US$ 1,190 *tsk. whatever happened to recession- friendly prices??* Anyway, this tote’s made of multi-colored patent. Which also makes the bag look like it was lubed up (with oil) 😀

Hmm… looking at the bag also got me thinking this– was this bag inspired by a Salagubang (aka scarab… or beetle) hehehe?(credit: Windowsonnature.com)

See the resemblance in color? 🙂 That’s it. I’m not buying that bag *not like I have the moolah for it to begin with!!*.

Walk-down-Memorylane Alert: I used to catch salagubangs when I was a little kid. We’d collect them and put them in those little tin fruit cocktail containers. *Shudders at the thought*. I was much more fearless back then I guess hahaha. Or maybe this bag is worth buying. You know, because it reminds me of my fun childhood? Hahahaha… ok. Not.

If you peeps have US$1,000 to spare for a new bag, I recommend the YSL Medium Easy Zip Tote. Such a beautiful, no- nonsense bag. And while this bag is devoid of the all-over- logo- a- gogo, the letter Y is unmistakably Yves Saint Laurent. Love it! Oh– and this bag will only set you back by 995 greenbacks— you’ll have $5 change. To buy yourself a bottle of Evian (or a few bottles of the local Absolute distilled water *which is wayyyy cheaper hahaha*. Whatever floats your boat, baby :D).
