Some Travel Essentials

I am flying out to San Francisco and I only had 2 hours to pack my things. Sometimes I really don’t know how I manage to pack the things I need to bring, but I always pack with the assurance that “if I don’t bring it, a drugstore somewhere should have it” LOL. I need to stop this bad habit of packing at the last minute though (and on that same line, I need to be more organized. LOL never-ending new year resolutions that just never seem to get fulfilled!!)
Anyway, here are some beauty essentials I cannot travel without (not photographed below are my Laneige BB cream, Avene sunblock, Shu Uemura compact because they are still inside my handbag).
Shu Uemura, Kiehls, Olay, Lancome, Chanel, Nivea, Laneige, Avene are some of my fave brands
My perfume choice is pretty much the only thing that changes each time I travel. On my last trip, I brought with me the Ralph Lauren Big Pony #1. For this trip, I chose to bring Armani’s Acqua di Gioia.
Now let’s talk bags: shen I travel with my children, I seem to have a predilection for my Tod’s denim Pashmy– it remains a strong favorite when I need both hands free (to handle my highly energetic kids. But when I travel alone, the bags I alternate with of late are the Fendi Chameleon or the Hermes Double Sens. Both bags have done rather nicely for travel.
I also highly recommend the Fendi 2Jours bag (see my recommendation for this bag HERE) for travel because its weight as well as its clean lines (nothing too fussy), and classic style. It’s important to carry a bag that is not too heavy for travel– because you will load it up with important things and those “important” things (apart from your passport and wallet) which will be made accessible to you while on the plane can get rather heavy :).
Another bag worth its price is the Marc by Marc Jacobs Preppy Leather Pearl Tote

It is necessary to use a travel bag that can transform itself seamlessly function- wise. This leather Preppy tote comes with a detachable shoulder strap has a nice outer pocket to insert your boarding pass (pockets come in handy for travel). And the zippered enclosure is likewise very important for security. I think you will get very good use out of this bag should you decide on it. It’s not only functional as a travel bag, I actually think this looks and functions great as an everyday “workhorse” bag as well!

Hope to be able to blog again in the next few days since I *might* have fairly limited internet access while I’m in San Francisco 🙂 I live in the boonies 🙂 Hahaha. But if you have twitter, please do follow me (twitter.com/thebaghag) since I might be doing photo-tweeting again of the things/ places I see in real- time 🙂
