Socialclimbing BagHag at Mini Preview of J.Dizon-Hoschka Baubles

Hooo boy, just because I feel better today doesn’t give me the right excuse to stay up late. But again, for every night that I stay up late, there is a fairly good reason. Tonight for sure, there is a very good reason why I am still up this “late”… err… early. Because I had to brag to someone about today’s mini preview or I’ll burst into flames *tsk that’s what happens to braggarts who can’t find any avenues to brag hahaha*.

The mini preview of Janina Dizon-Hoschka’s (Jul Dizon’s daughter) baubles is an event not to be missed. As if being broke isn’t bad enough right? Well those who attended were actually in for some nice surprises because the prices are really “surprises!”– they are not as painful as I had thought.

See, when we hags think of jewelry, we immediately (well almost immediately) associate it with mucho $ for price. But what I believe JDH did, is to create yet another market for those who can’t really (or won’t really) cough up plenty dough for blings (me being one of them– always remember: caviar taste on a fishball budget!). And that’s what made it work, coupled with her creativity and talent as exemplified through her designs, all done in oxidized silver with semi precious stones.

The affair was very intimate, and I met a lovely lady (shared some funny DH stories!!) prior to having met the magazine bigwigs– think Preview’s Pauline Suaco-Juan, Mega’s Carla Sibal (both flanking the svelte designer JDH— who was wearing a beautiful “chain” necklace that doubles as a bracelet).

And without further ado, here are the beautiful pieces (and I will quote them in US$ to better compare them with bag prices haha)

Enamel bangles with semi precious stones– that white enamel bangle is the bomb 🙂 It is perfect for summer! Cost? Approximately US$960 (less than a Fendi Spy that’s already on sale haha)

Shagreen (stingray) skin bangle with crawlers like that gecko and snake– these bangles sit remarkably well on the wrist! Approximately US$850

Snake rings, anyone? These look great on your pointer 🙂 Tsavorite with tourmaline snake ring is about US$1,850. I didn’t get the price on the snake ring on the left. Just look at the detail!

The enamel cocktail rings look good enough to eat! There’s a teal blue enamel bombe ring, a lilac one, pink, coral, red-orange… All these candy colors! The enamel bombe rings cost from US$430 up (at par in price with Michael Kors bags haha) and these are set with semi precious stones like amethysts, citrines…

Oooh that red enamel bangle with those stones are just so vampy when worn with a nice black dress… Tsk tsk, dangerzone and we are loving it! Priced at about US$1,450.

Then there’s the studded “pebble” necklace. It is also a stunning piece, and I neglected to ask for the price. But it’s yummy!

The thicker bangles with bigger stones were worth checking out too, but bah I must admit I failed to remember the price, because it was already above my budget 😀 But those pieces are showstoppers as well.

See that rutilated quartz ring on a “pedestal”? That ring is VERY unique, and I would’ve bought it right there and then if it weren’t so loose on my finger! That ring comes out to only about $270! There are also those enamel stackable rings, as well as the stackable enamel bangles.

These pieces can be ordered by emailing accessorylab@gmail.com (temporary site at http://accessorylab.blogspot.com)

That pretty much set my day, looking at all the pretty little things (no worries, no dent to the bag budget– DH is paying for my little bombe enamel ring *WoOOohOoOooo he must’ve taken them happy pills 😀 hahaha* 😀 Happy Valentines’ Day to me in advance indeed :D)

Time to sleep now, this baghag is lucccckkkkkyyyyyyy 😀

P.S. Thankies EAI for that cute surprise for DT 🙂

xx
