Royals and their Jubilee Bags

I decided not to feature the Duchess of Cambridge today, as you’d probably have already seen her photos all over the place even if you didn’t have to trawl hard online. She was splendid, wearing a more muted Alexander McQueen lace dress with a ribbon that cinched her tiny waist. I was actually thinking she should’ve worn this when she went on the Royal Barge days ago (at least she’d not have blended in with the red upholstery :D). Anyway let me put the spotlight on other Royals during the Jubilee celebrations.
Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall. Zara carried a patent gold minaudiere, great. But what, pray tell is on her head?? I think Mike Tindall is grossly displaced here (even if at initial glance it looked like he too, had a red topper over his shiny noggin :D).

Given the right timing of Zara’s hat and Princess Beatrice’s Royal Wedding hat, I think they’d be better suited to stand next to each other 😀

Looks like….. ? 🙂

LOL are you thinking what I’m thinking? (If you are, do tell me what you are thinking 😀 I need to know if we’re on the same page, if you know what I mean LOL)

Ok back to bag business, Sophie, Countess of Wessex carried an ivory clutch with decorative beadwork (assuming my eyes have not yet deceived me). I’m not too big a fan of the pairing but then again it isn’t painful to look at. Besides, I like Sophie, she seems really nice 🙂

Autumn Phillips, the wife of Peter Phillips carried a navy suede clutch with some passementerie. I kinda like her flying saucer hat 😀 Zara’s hat just looks so much stranger now but it does prove one thing– she carries it off. She has great facial features!

And then there’s the gorgeous Sophie Winkleman aka Lady Frederick Windsor. I think she is fabulous. Sophie carries a classic envelop clutch *that has a VBH vibe* but ahhh she wore open toed slingbacks– did she break royal protocol? No matter, this gorgeous woman gets away with it 🙂

Princess Michael of Kent carries what we’ve come to know as the “granny” clutch, which is most famous with a kisslock clasp 😀 She looks fantastic and I am loving those sleeves and that wide- brimmed hat on her!
And then there’s Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. She’s been taken into the Royal family fold already– how times change, right? It’s actually a very positive thing (I used to dislike her too for what had happened), because this only serves to make things better for Prince Charles and his sons 🙂 And I think the princes both like her to bits now 🙂

Camilla carried a hardcase– looked like something that was made from protective headgear (and I bet it’s just as hard :D). Beatrice went for a conservative, fairly subdued hat this time. She played matchy- matchy and color coordinated her clutch and shoes.

Wasn’t Her Majesty’s Jubilee Celebrations mind- blowingly amazing? 🙂  P.S. I still wish the Queen went with a quirky bag instead of her usual Launer one 😀
