Rootote is in Manila!

Of late, I haven’t been seen carrying any premier designer leather bags. That’s because I have been preferring lighter bags– I get back pains if I use the heavier bags *this comes with age I think haha*. That doesn’t mean I’ve taken designer bags off my list completely (no way!! hahaha). I’m just giving it a little rest for the moment for *ahem* health reasons.

I continue to use Hervé Chapelier bags and totes because they are light, and are non-descript (this latter quality I really like at the moment :D). I have also taken to using bags that are not as “heavy” on the finances πŸ˜€ *I save the more expensive bags for special occasions haha– talk about not maximizing– but hey, it’s more like conserving these days!* But anyway, I must confess: I also hoard these “environmentally- friendly” totes and bags. In fact, I have been bringing these lightweight totes with me each time I travel. They work real well as my “second” bag πŸ˜‰

I’ve used EnviroSax in the past and liked them because they are compact when folded up.

I also love ROOTOTE. You might recall one time when I actually featured this brand because a friend of mine had brought some from Japan to sell. Rootote at that time was only available in Japan.

Anyway, I want to let you peeps know the good news– ROOTOTE is officially available here in Manila πŸ™‚ I actually used one of Rootote’s large shopping bags as my other bag on a recent trip to Monaco. It was cool because some Europeans actually came up to me to ask where I had gotten the shopping tote πŸ™‚ It would’ve made a wonderful “market” tote, they said (perfect size to keep their baguettes).

Rootote came with really cool shopping bags (Roo-shopper) which feature the cutest prints (I especially took a liking to the dog prints– they’re SO cute!!!)

The best features about these totes? 1. Light as a feather, 2. Washable, 3. They fold into small pouches!
Confession: I actually already have the following:
I hoarded because they were affordable, are reusable and washable. They also have a “secret” compartment on the side of the bag, which I think is a neat feature.

Rootote also came out with these snap- button canvas totes which feature compartment pockets on the inside for easy organizing of your things. I love that Paris print! πŸ™‚

And of course, what’s Rootote without the zippered side pocket πŸ™‚ I love the colors of this bag!

If you are looking for recession- friendly bags that are light on your shoulder, I highly recommend these ROOTOTE bags. These bags are also great for students (well, ok I’m no longer a student *haha out of school youth haha*, but I love them too! So they’re bags for all ages :D)

The bags are available at http://roototephilippines.multiply.com and are also being stocked by stores like Make Love Not War, Bratpack Greenbelt 5, Bratpack SM The Block, Bratpack Robinsons Galleria, Bratpack Robinsons Place.

Go get them now– the styles for this season are So nice!!

P.S. Thanks Joni for letting me know about Rootote being in Manila!! Otherwise I’d still be bothering friends who go to Japan to get me these shoppers πŸ™‚
