Roma, Roma, I love Roma!!! I am now in Rome as I type this. Rome’s another city I love and wouldn’t mind coming back to. The weather’s been real lovely, a little warm at 31 degrees but not as humid as Manila.
Just came home from Trastevere, Rome from a really fantastic meal with my Roman friends. Now, let me just share some of the things I did this afternoon– in photos!
Lunchtime
(What’s Rome without the food, right? :D)
I had 2 servings of the antipasto. Toooo gooood!!!
Couldn’t resist getting prosciutto at the neighborhood store! 🙂
Lard legs everywhere!!! *drools*
Oh Gawd and the cheeeese!!!
How to say no to prosciutto??? 🙁 I need not gain the flabs I worked so hard to shed at bikram yoga!!! *sob*
More lard legs *hehehe* Check the photo on the left up close. Hahahaha. I love the neighborhood butchers 😀 They have a great sense of humor!!!
The neighborhood butchers and I 😀 Look at how tall they are! And they’re really the most accommodating peeps. I love Rome!!!
Oh I was pointing upward in the past photo. To these!!
*Yes, peeps, more lard legs hahaha*
I got to my hotel, which is newly renovated and is centrally located. Again, I have
CV Travel to thank for this. Rome was actually not part of the deal for the Florence event for
LuisaViaRoma, but I wanted to stay in Rome one night to visit a friend– Rome was my supposed layover to get to Florence. And
CV booked me in this nice hotel in the Piazza Barberini area, and my room is truly sooo new!!! I love it!!!
It’s a purely non- smoking hotel so it was practically “clinical- luxe” clean! After I left my luggage, I got ready and headed out. Walked to Spanish Steps!
There– a small photo of me by the steps 🙂 *No heart* hahaha.
Anyway, I need to get some sleep already since I need to check out real early tomorrow (or today) to get to Florence by noon, where
Luisa Via Roma and bloggers like
Bryan Boy,
Chiara Ferragni, and
Jane Aldridge (whom I hope to finally “properly” meet) already are. Can’t wait!! 🙂
More photos of Florence (plus where I had dinner in Rome) tomorrow!
P.S. to my dearest 2nd brother AC, and my friend Patricia, HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🙂 🙂 🙂
