Random Thoughts on a Thursday Afternoon :)

Had a fantastic time last night at Enderun for the post- birthday dinner of our partner Carmen Reyes of 8 & a Half. Perfect timing to mention her too because I finally fit into this beautiful 8 & a Half black dress which I really love, and paired with a bright “Gibo green” belt 😀 (and no, I couldn’t fit into this dress last May!!)

*hehehe like the dress with my Hello Kitty watch? :D*

See, as we turn a little older *shrieks noooo, not the age thing agaiiiiin! hahaha*, I think we need to live healthier lifestyles (haha I should talk, no?). Anyway of late, I’ve been following a rather “strict” exercise regimen– going to Bikram Yoga at least 2x a week– and that’s what I have to credit for how I managed to fit into that dress *being honest :D*

(photo from www.BikramYogaManila.com— incidentally this is not my favorite bikram pose hahaha but it really makes you swwwweaaaaat!!!)

I enjoy practicing Bikram Yoga now because I got inspired from the story of yogi Tristan Choa who, from practicing yoga, has not only lost a LOT *I mean, a LOT* of weight, but has also strengthened his back (from him having recurring back problems). The great thing about Bikram Yoga is, you really sweat buckets and you will actually feel your body burning all the fat by just practicing for one session (90 minutes). I urge you to try it for a week– they have the first- timers’ package which, if I’m not mistaken, is only Php 1,000 which allows you to try bikram for one full week.  The first time of practice is always the hardest because you need to allow your body to acclimatize with the heat. You might think the heat is unbearable, but I can tell you, the results are reallllly worth it!  Contact Bikram Yoga Manila *Makati branch* at (+632) 889-0126.
Today’s been a good day so far 🙂 The lovely peeps from RPN9 came by to do an interview about the new crystals of my partner Rodina Chua- Velasco
Rodina was featured last week by columnist and crystals enthusiast Kat Holigores on her “dream stones” which are used for meditation– jade stones (also called dream stones) enhance health and wealth and brings insightful dreams. These stones are used for when you have those quiet moments alone and they have  already aided a lot of people. So much so that it got the attention also of a news team, who decided to do a story on them and on crystals altogether. And today, the news team came around to Accessory Lab for it 🙂
Managed to have our photo taken before the interview was over 🙂 So here it is *yes, another face reveal hahahaha– I opened Pandora’s box haha*
RPN’s producer Leah Samin, Accessory Lab designer/ partner Rodina Chua- Velasco (loving her opera- length pearl necklace), moi (also wearing Rodina’s 7- piece sliced agate necklace which I looove because it’s a “wishing” necklace!), and of course, the gorgeous on- cam reporter and Melissa Gecolea (who, as it turns out, also knows some of my former colleagues from my days working in Hong Kong for an international news network– because Melissa too, was working for a news network back in Hong Kong some years ago 😀 yay!!)
Here’s a closeup of the necklace
So yes, I do have many wishes *hahahaha* hence the big stones on my necklace 🙂
Ok, going back to the original discussion, at the end of the day, it’s all about better health, better  eating habits, a better lifestyle, and of course, a happier life 🙂
Happy Thursday, everyone!!! 🙂 Hope your day’s much better than mine 🙂
