Portable Works of Art

Hi! Hope you peeps are having a good weekend so far 🙂

Oh the start of the year promises so many things– one of them, perhaps a more interesting bag collection from all the designers who are in the bag industry.

One designer that’s still under-appreciated by bag lovers (who favor more “popular” brands) is Valentino. Truth it be told, Valentino bag designs have generally (and consistently) continued to impressed me. They may not have gained the overall durability approval from me (because the bag leathers are really so supple), but they have certainly earned high marks in the design department.

Valentino Summer Flower Tote.

Granted I will probably not buy this bag for myself (because I’m not all for those color combinations), but if someone were to buy this for me, I’d gladly take! Valentino bags have become works of art for me, and though this bag may not look too great from afar, the details are surprisingly remarkable. Priced at US$2,690.

I’m a lace- lover and this bag just appeals to me Soooo much.

I love the Valentino Laceland tote above. It’s a lace bag made of leather (not traditional lace)!!!  I am just so in awe. That’s it.  I am taking the plunge and am getting that bag as soon as it’s  (it’s= my funds… not the bag hahahaha) available. The bag comes with a hefty price tag– US$3,495, but the details are really amazing. This bag is a serious work of art. And this is what luxury is all about. (Darnit for the price though). Bag will be available for purchase no later than April 2010. Hopefully I have funds (I actually have to find serious work ASAP– like after I finish blogging so I can already start saving. Sob… am I so grossly underqualified that no one wants to hire me? hehehehe)
Oh Valentino, you and your bows. I’ve disliked some of Valentino bags in the past– particularly those chunky ones (even the one in magenta/ purple… I disliked it because it was way too chunky looking), but these feminine and soft bags of late with lace, flowers, and bows are elements that appeal to me– in a big way.

Soooo soft and gorgeous! Looks like a perfectly folded origami ribbon. And in red too! It has that Japanese-y appeal. Priced at US$1,895. It’s a lovely bag to have!

Time to gird your wallets (to prevent those impulsive purchases now) so you can save up for Valentino come Springtime! As for me, I am seriously (begging) asking  companies out there to hire me. As what? Well… hmmm…. as  a food tester/ taster? Or wait, I can be a visual merchandiser! Just give me a good budget 😀 😀 😀 *hehehe*

  1. Sorry Mrs. T but the Valentino lace tote does not hold any interest to me. I’m surprised you like it because it looks too busy. But I think I will go with florals bag more.
