Pick Pick Pick!!!

Major sob. I am losing my voice. I’m still too chicken to see a doctor (this coming from a former hypochondriac). It could be allergies, laryngitis, acid reflux (which I doubt though), and then of course the “nasty” entered my mind. The big C? *Waaaaaaaaa!!!! Big gulp*. I’m actually afraid. So let me erase that nasty thought, and decide on when I’ll go to the doctor for that laryngoscopy  later (yuck). Onto pleasant thoughts for now…

Which bag would you choose?

Seriously, I pick that Alexander McQueen skulls “knuckle” clutch (black). Love it!! Balenciaga’s fingerless glove motorcycle clutch is just a bit too Kaiser Karl for me 😉 And I’m not skinny, nor am I nowhere near in  the talent of Kaiser Karl!

(all bags from net-a-porter.com)

Ugh, I need a better way to divert my worries about this throat thing. Note to self: wear aquamarine necklace tomorrow. It’s said to heal the throat area. We’ll see how that goes.

  1. hi mrs t! hopefully this is just a temporary thing, which it most probably is. i also have a lot of allergies, ranging from rhinitis to skin asthma. you could have lost your voice from your allergic rhinitis, like what happened to me a few months back. i had no voice for almost 2 weeks! (kalamansi, hot water and honey helped a bit.) i’m sure a visit to the doc will put all your worries to rest. 🙂

  2. Hope everything will be okay. Think positive, let’s just hope that it’s nothing worse that a double dose of vitamin C can’t cure.

  3. hi! i’m a frequent lurker to to your blog…..I like the skull clutch too…..don’t worry, you will not experience any pain during a laryngeal endoscopy. 🙂 hope you feel better soon.

  4. Hi Mrs. T. First off, sorry to hear that you lost your voice again. I was the doctor who wrote about remedies for allergies a few months back. Hope you don’t mind another unsolicited advice. It is a normal reaction to fear the unknown. Negative thoughts ( of cancer ) trigger anxiety ( fear of uncertainty, mental restlessness, preoccupation of the feared thing ) which can lead to avoidant behaviors ( like postponing a procedure ). Sometimes what you fear is just fear itself. Laryngoscopy is a routine procedure to examine the condition of your throat and find out the possible cause of voice loss. Hope this help give you renewed courage to undergo the procedure.

  5. @ deluxeduck: I know, I am soo loving that clutch!!!!

@ Anon doctor: Thank you for allaying my fears. I will get the courage to go one of these days. The voice is a little better these 2 days. I am praying it’s just the “ber” allergies that’s causing it!

@ TR: I have pei pa kwa here 🙂 i think it did help a little!

@ K: of course LV is still worth investing on 🙂 Yes!

@ enteng: Thank you for your words of encouragement– it still is freaky to feel this way. Not knowing what it is, is making it all the worse. Will go see a doc soon. I hope next week! Sigh..

@ cesdu: I felt uncomfortable with laryngoscopy coz I opted not to have any “drugs” and was wide awake the whole time. hehe. I should opt to be drugged next time so I can sleep. 😉

@ Leah: Hope it’s nothing indeed!

@ MrsMartinez: Hope it is nothing. I did salabat too — then coughed hahah. too spicy 😉

@ browneyedgirl: you’re right, it could be allergies. I was actually thinking (and hoping) that– it’s the Ber months and my allergies come in the ber months– usually! xx
