Party at the Palace

I slept so early last night. I think that’s what happens when you get older *hahaha sob*– you have a tendency to get tired a lot easier and well, sleep a lot earlier.  *hahahaha ok I’m doing serious injustice to all the other women my age who lead extremely active lifestyles hahaha*. Pffffft!!!
Anyway, yesterday my kids and I had the pleasure of being invited to the Malacañang Palace for a party. Ok, before anything else, can we please set aside our political colors and just enjoy this post for what it is? 🙂 *thank you for not injecting any political meaning in this post 😀 We’ve all heard enough mudslinging during the last campaign season + elections.*
I realized that yesterday was probably my last time in Malacañang as an invited guest for a social event. (If I reprise my *ahem* “role” as a journalist in this lifetime, then I’ll probably get back into Malacañang. But right now, let me keep being a “journalist” a “hobby” or as something I do “on the side” :D)  But either ways, unless I get invited by the next administration as a guest at one of those parties, I will not be able to set foot into the Ceremonial Hall of Malacañang again. Not in the next 6 years at least.
I’ve had the distinct privilege of having been invited to the Palace for parties at least twice a year over the last 7 years. So Malacañang had become quite familiar to my kids and I– and I actually felt sad that I won’t be back there again for sometime. So here’s a last look at Malacañang Palace

And the Ceremonial Hall at its finest 🙂

I think it was only this year that my kids learned what the Palace was for, and it was only this year that they realized the importance of having a President in the country 😉 So I think this was by far, our most meaningful trip to Malacañang ever 🙂 I don’t know when they’ll see this place again, but I still remember my eldest DK’s first trip here– back in November 2003 (my DK was just 4 months old then)!

Thanks for the memories, Malacañang and the Arroyos 😉

Now for the quick bag report– I saw Goyards, Hermes (JPG shoulder birkin in brown, 30cm birkin in rose shocking) yesterday.

And as for me, I carried my Chanel blue caviar GST 🙂

*You can probably tell by now that I reallllly loooove blue colors :D*

And how was your weekend? 🙂
