Paris Luxe!

Not too long ago and with the help of CV Travel and Singapore Airlines, I was able to get on one of the most memorable flights of my life (so far :D).

I wish I had been able to ride the Concorde before it was grounded, but my DM said I didn’t really miss much. She said it was quite “scary”. I took her word. You see, I’m one of those people who become extremely religious when it comes to riding planes– especially when you factor in turbulence on the flight! *shivers going down my spine*

Anyway, this ride was better, because the plane was just HUGE. I rode the Singapore Airlines A380 to Paris– yes, the double-decker plane with 33 crew members!! (Insane!!!) From Manila, I flew the regular SIA Plane to Singapore, and boarded the A380 to Paris.

 Check out the business class.

It was a dreaaaaaaaammmmm!!!  My Spot!

The seat goes flat– paving the way for a good night’s sleep *Snorrrrrrrrre* hehhehee.

I wish I could afford to pay for a first class seat– they’re called Suites.  (top left on the picture below)
Check out the configuration of the plane:
The “suite” is your  very own little “room” (yes, privacy)!!! It was awesome. But I think these suites cost in the upward amount of US$8,000 +++. Mucho moolah needed!! (Sponsor needed please hahaha). From what I was told, only Singapore Airlines top guns (like, less than 10 of them) get to ride this for free. Everyone else has to pay their way to get a Suite! *That exclusivo!*
Before I knew it, we had landed! (hehe check out the Kamiseta luggage hehehe! It had a pleasant ride ;))
While Changi Airport had its own terminal for the A380 (you don’t have to climb up the stairs to the business class area because the “connector” went straight to the 2nd floor), Charles de Gaulle airport doesn’t have a terminal for A380s– so we all had to climb down the HUGE staircase (sorry I didn’t manage to take photos anymore– I didn’t even realize their staircase was going to be so grand, or I would’ve prepared my camera).
I was lucky enough to have been booked by CV Travel on a very beautiful hotel in Paris, just beside the Opera House. Called Le Grand Intercontinental, this hotel is the home of the famous Cafe de la Paix.
What a beautiful lobby they have. It’s like a mini Louvre pyramid.

The entrance that leads to the elevators
One of the beautiful rooms of Le Grand Intercontinental.
Beautiful decor. I love it!
I stayed in one of the larger rooms which had a walk- in closet 🙂
I looove! (I could get used to this good life hahahaha… oh how I wish this trip didn’t end so soon)
And the bathroom was big, for Paris standards.
I don’t wake up for breakfasts, but on this trip, waking up for breakfast at Cafe de la Paix was effortless.
You don’t even have to prod me to get out of bed hahaha.
With a plethora of breakfast food and this ambiance?
Heck, this is the good life– MY KINDA LIFE !!! *Muwahahaha Sponsoooooooooor, where are youuuuuuu????*
My plate plates
Clearly, this was one of my best stays in Paris.  Thank you again, CV Travel for coordinating my trip and Singapore Airlines! CV Travel (tel. *632* 523-0043  or  521-4264) is easily one of the best travel agencies to use to if you plan to visit Europe (from tailor-made private tours, to group package tours). And of course, if you get the chance, you must ride the A380! Singapore Airlines’ service is as always, impeccable– simply one of the best in the industry!

  1. To BagHag: Wow! You’re trip is soooooo nice and fabulous! 🙂 Mrs. T I would like to ask for your advice… If I have a budget of P50,000 for a luxury bag, what bag brand might be a good investment? 🙂
    Thank you!
    – K

  2. same as tim, was your trip to paris only? how much did it cost for the plane and to be booked at that hotel? thanks.

  3. hi! how much was the airfare? i also want to experience that!!! loveit! more power to you! and more bags, of course! 😉

  4. @ Tim+ Anon- re Airfare/ trip cost: Get in touch with CV Travel for the quotes because I think they change every day (or week), depending on peak or off peak season. I think that’s how the rate and fees are. No set amount. But best if you check with that travel agency I go with. Look for the owner, Claudette Vitug. She’s very accommodating. 🙂

@ mrs.Martinez: Super small world! LOL They were asking for your “username” which is mrsmartinez. Looks like we will be watching that movie together, soooo i’ll be meeting you on the 20th! 🙂

@ K: for 50k, try looking into the Tod’s pashmy if you’re not hot about monograms etc. But if you want an LV, go with the classic, Neverfull MM. I think it gives you that bang for the buck! And then change 🙂

@ PBB: The high life is worth dreaming about, yes? 🙂

  5. I must say Claudette is the best travel agent i have ever worked with. Thank you for hooking me up with her. I got the best rates and the best service, She really knows what she is doing. Im just jealous that you flew on the 380! If only their schedule flying back to asia was better. But for the price of Etihad i wont complain 🙂
