Paris: Hermes show windows, Oct 2010

One of the main “attractions” of Rue du Faubourg, Saint Honore is the Hermes building. If Luisa is very well- known in Via Roma, Florence for their shop windows (oh yes, their windows are legendary– it’s in the books!), Hermes in Rue du Faubourg, Paris is known for their shop windows too.
Anyway during that 1 week+ stay in Paris, you wouldn’t believe this when I say it but I only had ONE day to go around for shopping– yes, ONE day! 🙁 My trip felt so incomplete because I didn’t get to do my usual rounds. But then again, I am happy too because I still managed to take these photos for you all. So without further ado, the Hermes windows:

Yes, that lizard kelly in the middle is the Kelly pochette, so that small one at the bottom of the screen? Really SMALL! 🙂

Liking the lizard Jige and that super mini Kelly

The corner window of the shop never fails to impress passers-by and clients!

Love your horse? Give him/her the best! A croc saddle!!!

Very rich color for a croc travel birkin!

I was not a fan of the H sandals, but oh I want these!! Paging Hermes Manila 🙂 please carry these!!

A VERY red crocodile kelly

The classic Kelly with side exterior stitching

*GASP!!* THIS is a light yellow- tinted Himalayan crocodile birkin in 30cm!

Yellows (+ a 2- toned Jige). That small kelly is really sooo adorable!

A suede Kelly pochette in vert anis.

Waaaahhh, so much eye candy up there! One of the more “ooh” moments was seeing that light yellow Himalayan crocodile birkin– or wait, maybe they have a different name for this one since Himalayan crocodile birkins pertain to the ones that look like “the bag got snowed on and ended up with a little frost bite” *ok, sorry for that description as it didn’t do the Himalayan birkin any justice, but I’m just really not articulate 😀* Bottom line, the windows as always did plenty to impress me (and everyone else who saw it).
As for the inside of the shop, I actually had to wait in line now (there was a queue!!) to get service. This is actually a better procedure since it would normally take forever to flag down a sales associate to assist you with something in the past. So now, Hermes became more… egalitarian (no more favorite SAs etc). And yes by the way, Hermes prices have increased yet again. But you know what, with Hermes you really can expect the BEST. 🙂

I hope you enjoyed the photos and wish you all have a wonderful day ahead 🙂
