I don’t want to end up with a lot of clutches in my closet. I just want a good one or two of them that I can use over and over again. I’m all about being economical when it comes to clutches because I just don’t use them as much as I’d like to (come on, I can’t be the perfect bag editor and transition from a “my- house-is- inside- my- big- bag” person to a clutch person overnight– haha that will take years… no, eons!). So even if I’d love to have a few good pieces in exotic skin *read: super expensive*, I’d rather go for something not as expensive, but no I will not compromise quality in the process. Plus, I realize the clutches I pick will have to be easy to match with my clothes.
When it comes to clutches, one of the brands I never forgot about is Mark Cross.

Mark Cross makes amazing clutches (side note: not to mention these multi- compartment bags which were an instant hit– I have a blue one in the smaller size and I loooove it because it packs a lot! Plus it’s too cute!)

This Fall, Mark Cross will have the all- black version! It has multiple pockets inside (no need to bring a wallet– just insert some mad money in the pocket :D) and comes with a chain for “hands- free” use when the need arises (aka when champagne or wine is being served and you want some hehe).

Bags from Mark Cross will transcend style and trend. I’m happy with these bags because they’re guaranteed classics. They won’t be “out of fashion” or “out of style”. Mark Cross has been around since 1845 too, so we’re talking bag brand royalty here. And I’m also so grateful that the prices are so reasonable and seem to have been frozen in time as well 🙂
The Large Multi- Compartment Satchel above is just at US$795– you’d think they’d charge over US$1,000 for something of this quality! The Maddox clutch is at priced at US$495. Really unbelievable price for an exquisitely crafted bag by a very established brand, right?
