Now Serving: Laughter!

Goood morning people! Sorry I didn’t get around to blog earlier– I was asleep sooo early last night (when I got home around 4pm, I slept. Then after dinner, I slept right away), and woke up rather late today. For some odd reason, my body just succumbed to fatigue and sleep after the trip with Rea and Dexter to Fabella *I think it’s my jetlag*.  Those 2 peeps worked so hard in distributing goods for NICU moms, as well as for the new moms in the wards. It was really another rewarding day, plus we got to see some really cute babies 🙂

Now, today’s topic 🙂 I must tell you that I kinda went crazy with my outfit a few days ago. During my last trip, I bought these argyle socks with my friend which I thought were pretty funky and hilarious (you should see the other pair I got– Christmas colors! Red, green, and black!! Hahahaha).

I didn’t think I would be wearing them here in Manila, but I actually did– at Rockwell Power Plant Mall. (I think it’s only at Rockwell Power Plant Mall that people actually get away with wearing boots 😉 Hahahaha… it’s winter in Rockwell almost all year round because the a/c is always so *brrrr* cold 😀 )

Imagine the stare I got from this prominent designer who shall not be named because he is a nice guy and is a neighbor *hahahaha* who probably thought I was crazy (ok, I was). This was not the first time he gave me that stare 😉 *I wore an orange fascinator not too long ago and had passed in front of him and his friend, and I think at some point I actually forgot I was wearing a frou frou-y hairpiece as I talked to them hahahaha, hence the stare hahahaha (walking fashion victim)*.
So here’s the theme of today’s post. Laughter.

This post was written for you all to laugh at, and make fun of. Subject?

ME!

🙂

(I tried to take a decent looking photo here. I was tempted to take a more goofy shot, but enough. I need my self- esteem too hahahahaha) *I ended up looking like a trying- hard wannabe tween fashionista hahaha*

No, I didn’t wear pigtails at the time I wore this outfit *muwahahaha*. So peeps, do you think you could pull off this look and go to the mall? I know I won’t be wearing these socks for awhile *unless I’m wearing jeans hahaha* What do you think of this outfit? *Yes, you can be mean and castigate me for my fashion sense (or lack thereof)*.

Would you pick my look above, or would you pick this look below? There’s not much to laugh at in this photo (at least I don’t think so hahaha)   except that I’m probably grossly mismatched hehehe.

Hmph, but I love the color of my new shoes. I had to make them work with the outfit *hehehe*. At the end of the day though, my feet were killing me, but then again, I don’t think I’m that comfortable wearing heels anymore (I think I should start going back to wearing heels again since they will help  my plantar fasciitis).

Bottom line though, I just know I love my Promod clothes coz they’re 100% comfyyyyyy 🙂 *I was wearing a Promod pullover in the 1st photo, and Promod light corduroy pants and belt in the 2nd photo*

Have a funny Thursday, and don’t forget to smile 🙂 2 more days before the Christmas party for the kids of the orphanage. (Dec 12, 3pm at San Agustin Church, Father Blanco’s Garden). Thanks to everyone who has offered helped!

Special Thanks to: IsabelC for donating 5k, Richwell’s Liza Yao- Bate for donating 6 boxes worth of toys *by Mattel, Hotwheels, among other popular brands* as well as boxes of children’s shoes, CristinaL for the 6 boxes of Polvoron candy and Chocomani, RufinaL for the kiddie umbrellas, noodles, CatS for all 330 notebooks and pencil sets! 1. like i said madame, the parisienne in rockwell outfit rocks.

must get myself those argylle socks too… too bad i don’t have your longleggedlegs!

  2. Mrs T, I’m not laughing ha. I was actually thinking of wearing knee-high socks but I don’t know if I can leave the house wearing it. My boys will not allow me but who cares, I’m the mom and I’m the queen of the house. Hahaha! One of these days, I will have the courage to don the knee socks. Kudos to you for being able to pull it off… confidence is the key and who cares if people stares.

  3. @ Leah: LoL I can’t do it anymore. I think I was humiliated enough hahahahaha. If someone dared me (I need something cool in return though hahaha, dares don’t come for free anymore hahaha), I’d be courageous enough to wear those thigh socks with Christmas colors hahahaha.

@ Missy: I think in HK that outfit’s ok to wear, but not here in Manila 😉 And uy, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!

  4. the first outfit looks… ahhh… interesting!! 🙂 (but in fairness, you look thin in that pic! and you can totally pull off short shorts)

i’m digging the second outfit. very fashionista — the pendant, trimmings on the jacket and the shoes all have character and just pop. nice one 🙂

  5. Hi Ingrid, may I know where you got your cardigan/sweater/jacket in the 2nd photo please? Love the details!

  6. I like both outfits Mrs. T! I think that you’re right about not wearing the first outfit in Manila on an ordinary day. I guess that’s one of the things I like about living in the US — I can wear almost anything (crazy outfits included) with confidence in the right place and most people won’t give me a funny look. Seriously, I will gladly wear your first outfit on a crisp Spring morning! 🙂

  7. try to be more in the moment 2010.

the shorts with the long argyle is so cute!!! pigtails maybe no…. but try a cute cardigan and white blouse!!!! so school girl!!

    viola!!

  8. Love the shoes, especially the second pair! I saw wear whatever you want! 🙂 I’m going back to Manila in January and am contemplating textured tights with my perhaps a touch too shirt skirt. 🙂

  9. hi! my first time to comment in your blog. i love fashion that’s why i couldn’t resist commenting….
i think you could have pulled off that knee high socks (plain or small print would have been better though) with the right shoes. it can go with flats or heels but that shoes is oh so wrong with that outfit. i’m sure you have just the right shoes to go with it.
that first outfit though would look good with that blue heels on your second photo, sans chausettes.

i like your 2nd outfit except for the frills on that veste.

i hope you like my input! ’til your next outfit….

  10. Mrs. T you look fab. Those legs are indeed for showing off, and what better way to do it than with those socks :)To others that might seem eccentric, but really who’s to say. You’re so well traveled and exposed to beautiful things, yet you remain humble and fun 🙂

  11. @ patricia: Awww thank you, but I’m far from humble and fun (I’m a party pooooper ;D). But again, thank you for your kind comment. I questioned my fashion sense when my friends were laughing at what I wore hahahhahaha.

@ Y: thank you! Hahaha but I will not wear my christmas argyle socks. HAHAHAHA Not here in Manila 😀

@ rm: Thanks for the input! 🙂 What shoes do you reckon should I wear with them argyle socks? Hehehe. I love those socks. Comfy!!!

    @ pazt: Thankies 🙂 🙂

@ A Loopy Life: Oooooh textured tights! Know what, I don’t have those!! I should contemplate on getting them 😀

@ JP Boi: Hehehe school girl. I might get a comment saying it looks too “come hither” hahaha

@ May- Hem: Totally agree! We can wear anything if not in Manila… hahaha just have to make sure no one sees us hahaha.

@ Anon: I do pig out 🙂 Hehehe I think the clothes I wear are rather deceiving– makes me look thin 🙂

@ Anon: I bought the jacket on the 2nd pic at Anthropologie 🙂 Old already!

@ Bessie: Hahahaha baduy is in this year? hahaha 🙂 *Love!*

    @ Vhanya: hahaha chica… funny 🙂

@ Ilaya: And pray tell you don’t have long legs? Exqueeze me honey, you are TALL!!!! 🙂 And long leggedness hahaha 🙂

@ browneyedgirl: deceiving pic– pullover is size large hahahaha. So no showing of flabs there 🙂

@ katey: Shoes from Vintage Restore by Lally Dizon 🙂 Love the color!

@ appledumplings: Giordano Concepts 🙂 I was tempted to get the duckpoop green version too 🙂

@ Aina Luna: I wonder if I can ever pull off wearing argyle socks with them Christmas colors!
