No to Color Transfer!

I’m pleased to report that Elvis is finally back home, recuperating 🙂 We figured too that he was nowhere near comfortable while he was at the animal hospital, so the best way for him to recover was to be in familiar surroundings– our home! So yes, it’s happiness for us all that he’s back home. He’s still pretty weak and not as active but hopefully in no time, he’ll be back to his old active, hyper self. Doctor had also noted that Elvis is beginning to have cataracts in his eyes 🙁 *sigh, but I guess this is to be expected of aging dogs?*. Anyway, bottom line is, I’m just elated that he’s home again. 🙂

Now, bag talk time! One of the things I really dislike about some bags is their proneness to color transfers. At some point in time, I’m sure at least one of your bags has become victim to color transfer of denim– your jeans! It came as a shock to me one day as I inspected my white Goyard bag that there was a big patch of dark blue on one side– the bag was always rubbing against the side of my jeans and that was the result. Thankfully though, with Applegarde cleaner and a lot of patience cleaning it, the transfer came off (it lightened so much and it can be hardly seen now).

But other people have less luck with color transfers– especially if it’s on a very delicate leather bag. So here’s my suggestion. If you go casual and wear jeans or a pair of pants that can transfer color onto a light bag, why not go for a denim bag– at least you won’t worry about your bag getting color transfer 🙂
