Net-a-Porter.com bag review!

So I couldn’t really stay away from blogging. It’s been proven in the past, and I guess this morning proves yet again how “married” I actually am to thebaghag diaries. If there was something I’d call a “steady job”, then I guess being a baghag blogger IS my steady job. *Of course even I have yet to wonder who my employer is… darnit, someone better start paying me serious money for my undying commitment to this blog muwahaha.. tsk pathetic!! :D*

Ugh, as I write this, my stomach growls. Loud. Of hunger! What else! As my friend (and new mom) MCM said of my blog, “It’s a cycle– the posts are either about bags, my sorry financial state, events, or food!!” My dear friends, I’d love a good food blog now, but there’s nothing I can blog about. I didn’t order any room service because it was wayyyy tooo expensive!! 🙁 *I normally wouldn’t scrimp on food because that’s like, what, my 2nd love? or one of my top 5 “loves” haha*

Anyway tonight’s an exception on my Scrooge-y take on food. I’d much rather spend the amount I have to pay for room service on bags (You know, start a bag fund and all.. Hello, priorities? haha). So I scoured the internet for the bags that caught my attention. Without further small talk *hehe you know me and gab ;D*, THE bags– good and bugly!

Fendi 10th Anniversary Baguette. I’m not sold on this overly beaded and embellished baguette. At all. While I love the idea of reviving the baguette to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the style, I don’t think going overboard with embellishments is the way to make “it” come back to “IT” status again. This is not doing it for me, and what’s worse, the price is definitely NOT going to do it for most of us either. Madame SVFendi, what were you thinking?!?! Priced at an astronomically inconceivable amount of £3,595.44 (that’s like US$7,000++) at net-a-porter.com *Major STICKER SHOCK!!!*. I don’t think it costs US$7k to put a little plaque (that says limited edition) into the lining of the bag. Bugly Baguette… *Thebaghag Biatches again!!*

Mulberry Large Mabel. I’m officially liking Mulberry bags right now. The brand is slowly (but surely) shedding off that staid image and its bags are constantly photographed on arms of celebrities like Kate Moss. You can’t go wrong when Kate takes the bag into her arms (or shoulders). *She hasn’t really been fashionably “off” as far as I’m concerned, so there. But what do I really know about her anyway, I don’t gulp down Kate news as much since I’m a total loser when it comes to celebrity style hehe. My bad then!* Bah, anyway the bag is gorgeous. That’s enough for me to say. It reminds me of the Chloe Betty, although the Mabel is sleeker in design. First the bayswater, then the Mabel. Mulberry is doing something right in my book 🙂 Priced at £855.01 at net-a-porter.com

Woohoo my favorite color makes it to the color palette of one of my all- time favorite brands! Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Leather Shopper in Blue. The style of the bag is already great and is a staple on the BV bag shelves for a few seasons now, and wow, couple that fact with a very attractive color and you’ve got yourself a jackpot/ winner! This bag is definitely going to be on my list of bags to get for 2008! *I’ll crack open my ceramic piggy bank in hopes that I’ve collected enough coins throughout the years 😀 hehe… if not enough, there’s always the piggy bank of the kids muwahaha… bad mum alert!! 😀 Tsk tsk hehe.* Priced at £1,649.73 at net-a-porter.com

Alrighty, after looking through a bunch of bags, I finally got past that hunger pang. I am ready to turn in for the night. After all, I wasn’t really supposed to be blogging 🙂 *hehe I cheated!!*
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN: 16 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!

P.S. Forgot to tell you all, please DO NOT send text messages on the TRESOR mobile (0916) 758-0857 because the phone itself is busted. We couldn’t get the phone to turn on at all. And if it does turn on, it hangs almost immediately! 🙁 We need to find a replacement phone for it so we can’t really check messages at the moment. Sorry, sorry for the inconvenience 🙁 *Grumble* The phone wasn’t even 6 months old yet! Nokia makes such crappy phones now 🙁 🙁 And don’t ask me to buy a Motorola because Motorola sucks too– I didn’t even really “drop” my pink Razr on hard ground and the whole LCD screen just cracked… and well it wasn’t under warranty too (the phone was barely 5 months old!). Crappy phones AND crappy services. These two phone companies should seriously invest in better parts!! *AAARGH!!!!!*

  1. Hiya Mrs. T- just a heads up, I got the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Leather Shopper in Taupe online. It’s not as big as I thought it would be! Oh well it’s still a purty bag! See ya!

  2. Agree with you that Nokia and Motorola sucks. Try Samsung phones. My phone fell a lot of times, and it’s still working. I think they make excellent phones. Nice designs too. very classy.
