Neiman Marcus Private Sale One Day Event

It’s not a rare occasion, but it still merits a blog post. Neiman Marcus is holding a one-day only private sale of select brands. So I had to take a quick peek– to see if there’s anything worth buying (you know, pre Christmas :D)

Jean Paul Gaultier perforated tote. Wow. From a price tag of US$965, to a now slightly more “modestly” priced US$676. Reminiscent of a Longchamp tote, but just more luxurious. Not a bad bag, since it’s a rather large bag and you can use this bag quite often because of its friendly size.

Bulga Leather Multi-Pocket Satchel. Ok when I saw this bag, I was quickly reminded of a turkey (look at the neck part hehe). Bulga’s known for soft leather bags, and the occasional nice style, but this bag really made me laugh. Priced from US$795 to $398. Unless you have serious plans to be mistaken for a plump turkey in the upcoming Thanksgiving, I don’t suggest carrying this bag. *Gobble gobble* hehehe… (Turkey photo from Yahoo photos) .

Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile Hobo. Talk about luxuriously exotic. I love, love crocodile skin (hence my constant fixation on crocodile skins and Hermes– but take note, I cannot and I repeat, I cannot afford a Hermes crocodile bag). So I will settle for this bag. It’s also in a nice pastel shade of mint. This would go well for summer– yeah for next year 🙂 Priced originally from US$2,750 to US$2063. I know, I know. Still pricey. But remember, this price is way better than US$30,000 right? 🙂 *sticker shock!*

Burberry Spring Check Cosmetic Case. I know, not a bag. But then when was the last time I actually praised a Burberry bag with the signature check? A while back (I think it was for a summer multi- pocketed tote which I really liked too). Anyways, a Burberry cosmetic case would be a nice gift perhaps for your mom, or a good friend. It would also make a great gift for yourself! 🙂 Priced from US$155 to US$116. And think about this, with the weak dollar, converted to local currency, the case is already a good buy 🙂

Dolce & Gabbana Miss Loop Bowler. Now THIS bag is something I would buy. It has that LV suhali look too– rich! It’s very simple and classic that you can’t really go wrong, style-wise. It will for sure transcend that “it” bag trend and remain above water after all the other “its” become “has- beens”. Price before was $995, and now it’s priced at US$647. I’d personally rather buy this than the Jean Paul Gaultier tote. But hey if I had the extra moolah, I would end up with both.

Gryson Maya Triple Buckle Satchel. This bag is a different take on the YSL Maia bag. Funny how both bags have the same name. They look rather alike too. And like the YSL, this one looks hard to “open” unless you keep the belts unfastened. Functionality “issue” aside, not a bad bag. Gryson is doing very well as an independent bag designer too 🙂 Priced at US$627 (from US$895).

Alrighty. I’m done for now. I’ve been binge eating again– on junk food. I can’t help it 🙁 *Sigh* I seriously need a healthier diet, tsk. But ok, let me have this last night of eating chips. I just need to satisfy that salt *or is it MSG* craving haha. Then tomorrow I’ll start on that veggie diet. (Incidentally I have the last bag of chips tonight hahaha)

Also, pardon this service announcement:

TRESOR will be having a cash break sale (yes, pay in cash and you get the special price!) at TRESORIE, along with D! LUXE and TINSLEY. Mark your calendars– on November 29, 30 and December 1. From TRESOR, there will be selected Goyards, Louis Vuittons, Guccis, and other premier designer brands.

Soooo, set aside your moolah already– I know you peeps will be getting your bonuses soon *lucccckkkkyyyyyy:D* Too bad I don’t get bonuses at all… I really wish someone would just hire me to work for their company hahaha… cough cough… hint hint.. anyone? 😀
