NATORI Show Part I- Guests- Watching

I just came back from the Natori show, and it was fantastic! Runway report tomorrow 🙂 Watch out for it, because you will be impressed like I was. The fabrics used were all gorgeous!!

Now let’s rewind to the few hours before the show: I was secretly worrying about not having anything to wear. But I had faith in my new clothing partner, Ms.CPR — the designer behind “8 and a HALF“. She said she will have me in her dress in time for the party. I have to admit, I wasn’t worried about the dress not arriving because I know she delivers when she says she would. I was actually worried that it won’t fit me! We both only realized early in the afternoon today that I had NOT given her my waistline measurements yesterday! The numbers I have her for the dress were : shoulder to shoulder, arm(pit) hole, and desired length! I just also mentioned that I am normally a medium, fluctuating between a 4 and a 6, but as of late, I wouldn’t be surprised if I’ve moved to between a 6 and an 8. That was all she had to work with. Seriously!

Then 6pm came and the gown got delivered at Tresorie. I loved the style. I rushed to try it on. And oh mah Gawd, it fit me like a glove!!!! (despite my being richer with pork barrel handles too!) Ok, Ms.CPR you are officially a genius 🙂 *I decided to wear thong sandals because my feet were killing me :(*

I was sooooo deliriously happy. And the whole gown was VERY well made– like if I turned the dress inside out, it’s “clean”! 8 and a HALF is definitely going to have a few clients wanting to have this same dress made now 🙂 *From what I know, 8 and a HALF will have a shorter version of this dress* I was just too proud to wear this dress tonight since I’m the first one to wear the brand’s made-to-order/measure gown and it drew lots of positive comments too *beams brag brag 😀 lemme brag just this once, ok? Coz no one noticed that I gained weight HAHAHA*

Ok, back to the socialclimbing of Mrs.T 🙂 *Oye this has not happened in a VERY long time too :D*

Mrs.T
(here’s a better shot of my dress too hehehe) and Sexy preggymama and Inquirer beauty columnist RiaP who is due next month (her belly is soooo cute and she is still soooo skinny!!!)
Knits queen Ms. LuluTanGan
The creme de la creme of the night, Madame ImeldaMarcos, the very celebrated JosieNatori, a mega-blinged MeldyCojuanco, (her emerald cabochon necklace was just sooo *droooooool* hehe), and dear friend Dr.TPascual 🙂

Then there was Celebrity Duets Winner TessaV. 🙂 I espy her wearing a D! Luxe bling brooch and a D! Luxe lady bug ring 🙂 🙂 *WooHoo!*
Ms.NatyP with Dr.TPascual 🙂 *Ms.NatyP is a certified baghag with sooooo mannnnnnnny Hermes birkins (exotics, mind you! wolfwhistle!)– I told her I want to make her bag closet a shrine hahaha… oh and I looove her rubies!!*

Town and Country classic beauty MiaB in a vintage (and priceless!) Ramon Valera terno
And now, let me introduce to you my seatmates for the night. To my left was my dear dear Mumsy, and to my right is Nestor Tan, President of Banco De Oro, the event’s platinum sponsor.

Our tablemates also included Tessie Sy- Coson (Chairman of Banco De Oro.. owner of ShoeMart or SM, the biggest mall chain in the Philippines!!), and Aunt Nancy and Nessie 🙂 *Wooohoooo and Mrs.T rubs elbows and social climbs with the peeps “up there” once more hahaha… boy am I a good social climber or what?! Oye I deserve the SC of the year award WoooHooo!!* (Gosh I hope she ain’t reading this blog or I’ll be PNG at SM haha.. and there I was, tempted to ask her for an SM discount card… take note, not an advantage card but a discount card! Shameless eh? Hahaha)

Mercedes Benz main man FelixA and his pretty wife GraceA

Not-so-late-comer Supreme king TimY still made it in time 😀 *He and I haven’t seen each other in a looong time coz I’ve been hibernating… haha and I plan to hibernate again after tonight hahaha… I need to lose weight* Darn, I wish I had his skin… it’s so smooth 🙁 Meanwhile, I’m not really THAT old yet, but my face is all wrinkly with dark circles under my eyes already, and a growing acne farm 🙁 I swear, I have a face only my DM can love 🙁 *SOB*

Anyway, apres the show, DM and I made a beeline to the exit when we were both introduced to the celebrated designer herself! *Ok, truth: Only DM was introduced haha. But I had to sneak behind them to be photographed *you know, proof to you peeps that I “met” her haha. Tsk. Pathetic and pretentious Mrs.T strikes again haha* . Meanwhile, that’s DM to Natori’s right hahaha* Oooh and check out the earrings of Josie! *drooooooool again*

Every guest walked away with loot too 🙂 A cookbook (which I reallly, reallly looove reading– aha, you hags didn’t know I love to cook, eh? *wink!*), Olay Total Effects, something from Clarins and Dior, a GC from Rustans (for the Murad Spa), and a compli copy of Town and Country with Josie Natori on the cover 😀
Not a bad night indeed! And may I also mention that the food served tonight was really good? (I didn’t want to take photos of the food anymore or my seatmates and tablemates might think I’m weird *I AM weird, but they don’t have to know that hahaha. I was seated with these bigwigs and I had to beeeehave or DM will thwap me til kingdom come haha :D*)

Alrighty peeps, I think I gave you a pretty comprehensive report of the party already. Tomorrow, I shall talk about the program and show itself 🙂

Hope to see you peeps at Tresorie tomorrow! Thanks again for allowing me to do some kinda plugging 😀

B: The gown, believe it or not, just costs Php 5,000– that’s equivalent to about US$130!! The designer behind 8 and a Half is planning to come up with short versions of that dress in bright colors, soooo let me know if you’re interested. The short dresses are priced below Php 3,000 (that’s just about US$78. And the quality of the dress makes it a keeper!
