My Mega Magazine 20 Most Stylish Party Photo Album

I am still without a proper voice but that did not stop me from attending the 20 Most Stylish party thrown by one of my all- time favorite fashion glossies, Mega Magazine. I love Mega. Through the years, I’ve always loved poring over their pages and I’ve seen the magazine evolve. It just keeps getting better and better each issue (congratulations to the team!).

In the April issue, Mega featured 20 women whom they deemed stylish, and big mega surprise (I was really shocked, seriously) because I was included in that prestigious list! 

As is always the case when it comes to events, I decide at the very last minute to have myself “dolled up” 😀 I need a proper game face. LOL because I can’t put one on myself. You see, no matter who teaches me how to apply make- up, I just never learn. I end up looking like a two- bit whore without fail. Or I would end up looking like a raccoon that got run over by the end of the night lol. So best to leave the make-up to the pros. In this case, to Cindy Pineda of Shu Uemura 🙂  She gave me my face tonight ;D (And you’re all about to see quite a few of them here. Sorry for my photo overload! :D)

Post- Bali trip for Ralph Lauren Big Pony Fragrances, I had separation anxiety from these 2 wonderful people who happened to be my villa mates– Mega Magazine’s Creative Director SukiS and Features Editor SarahS. I’m so grateful I got to know them better over the trip. It was really a memorable one 🙂

Yay, more familiar faces from the Bali trip! L’oreal and Ralph Lauren Fragrances’ JanieL and CarloB, with Suki and I. We really had a great time in Bali with this group!

Can I tell you that I panicked when the Mega team said we were to be presented on- stage? Yes. I did have a mini panic attack.  I am no seasoned ramp model and I can’t just sashay down the catwalk just like that *snap finger*. Such an activity will take me  days years to get used to. Shove a camera in front of me and I’d gladly talk my life away without panicking, but hooooly, let me walk the catwalk without practice? I quivered in my skivvies!!

And so I did. Quiver that is. And yes, I did walk. It was an awkward sort of walk. I was sooo afraid to fall flat on my face (omg can you imagine?! LOL ok actually that would be a hilarious sight). This evening, I had 2 things I prayed so hard for: that I not trip over and fall flat on my face, and that no one see my bum because my 8- year old dress was too short 😀 Luckily God heard my hard prayers 😀 At least for the 1st thing I asked for haha.

Tonight, I recycled my old dress– yes, it’s an 8- year old dress which I have worn quite a bit in the past. I found the dress in the back of my closet about 30 minutes before I was scheduled to leave for the party and decided that was to be my outfit for the night. I ended up pairing it with a python obi in aqua which Suki, Sarah, Janie, Carlo and I had purchased in Bali! And this clutch you see below? Also from Bali! More on this python clutch in the next few posts– watch out for that, because you will want to know where to get these bags, promise 🙂
