My Birthday in Firenze

What an unforgettable birthday! First, venue of birthday was Florence. Second, I got to see Madonna live (forever on my wish list). Third, I got to spend good time with friends from the blogging world 🙂
Sorry but today isn’t going to be a bag post but it’ll be a photo album which I’d normally have kept private but would like to share with you all 🙂 I hope you don’t mind!
After having lingered in bed with the thought of sleeping in until noon (still so tired from Madonna last night– it was crazy!!), I finally got up *only because sunlight was hitting my face lol*.  I first popped by LUISAVIAROMA because I wanted to get my shots done and also grab photos from the Luisa photographer’s file from our shoot the day before. I just walked into the store and guess what, I get presented with a birthday present 🙂

Andrea, Cami, and LVR, thank you so much!!!

Seriously loving the Mini Miss Sicily bag by Dolce & Gabbana! *Faints*. More photos of the bag soon. Anyway, I’ve not-so-secretly wanted this bag since I first laid eyes on her in person! Thank you soooo much to my LUISAVIAROMA family– I will take care of this baby for sure 🙂

After having popped over Luisa, I decided to take a walk and explore Florence because I really haven’t done so! I was not able to explore the beautiful city during my first LUISAVIAROMA x Firenze4Ever trip (2010) and the other year I came back to Florence we just used the city for our “base” as we explored the neighboring towns! So this time I was quite determined to go around.  And who did I go around with? Tina (@Bagsnob) and Catherine (@Fashion_Critic_)! I miss Bryanboy— if he were here, we’d be the complete cannoli gang from Milan Fashion Week just last season 🙂
With Catherine (Fashion Critic), Tina (Bagsnob) at the Ponte Vecchio
And yay, we got to explore a part of Florence– and I had been meaning to walk through Ponte Vecchio and this time, I did!!! 🙂 *seriously happy!!*
Post- sightseeing/ souvenir shopping/ sorbet eating, we headed back to Luisa (the store is our “base” lol). I had wanted to get makeup and hair done before the dinner party. I only had one person in mind for my makeup while here in Florence– and her name is Gioconda Sirolli. I had also met her back in 2010 and she was really fantastic. I was sooo happy that she was around to give me my “face” 🙂 And not only did she give me my face, she also gave me my wonderful eyelashes to go with tonight’s party theme: Fashion Superheroes!

I love my dress– it’s by a Filipino designer! More on this soon 🙂
Gio and I. With my eyelashes which I batted nonstop 😀
My gorgeous makeup artist friend Gioconda Sirolli and I– like my eyelashes?  🙂

Shortly after makeup was done, I was whisked away to meet one of the icons of fashion, Rosita Missoni. I loooove Rosita. She is incredibly kind and unassuming, and had unashamedly expressed a serious interest in my eyelashes haha 😀  I did special “blinks” for Rosita– and I think she was really entertained hahaha!

And then on my way out of the store to head back to the hotel to change, I run into Saba who back in 2010 was this gorgeous model of LUISAVIAROMA. She has since moved to Sweden and I promised her I would pay her a visit one day 🙂 Saba and I hit it right off from the first time we met. Being at Luisa was like attending a reunion party of some sort 🙂 I was really so happy!

After that quick photo op, I headed for my hotel because this time, I didn’t want to be late for the dinner. It was embarrassing enough that I was late twice in the last two days (I didn’t get the hardcopy of the Firenze4ever schedule lol).
I had a great afternoon. And my evening rocked!! More on this soon 🙂 I need to get some shut eye now (boohoo I still want to keep my eyelashes on), I am really sleepy!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH to all who had greeted me on Facebook, Twitter, on Text Message, and in person. I feel the love and am really so grateful for everything! THANK YOU!!! And a Huuuuge THANK YOU to LUISAVIAROMA!!!
