Mrs.T’s true calling (to hang out with Sparklers)

It took me a good month to decide on a date for a little dinner get- together with old friends. It’s funny because it turned out to be a post- birthday dinner party haha (gee, embarrass me with them singing waiters anytime haha… but free cake!! Woowoo!). I had wanted to forget my rather uneventful birthday *saving grace was actually my Mom who decided to treat me to Tsumura!*, but well this dinner party had to happen because I already missed this group (PT, DCV of D!Luxe, EAI of Tinsley, YvetteR and ChocR of Religioso, PatrickUy and EvelynU of Pacific Lights Studio). I had also happened to promise ace photographer PatUy and his wife Evelyn (since our dinner with the Firma peeps) that I’d go out again with them for dinner soon. It took almost a year before this dinner materialized with them (only last night!)

Dinner was at this discreet little Italian restaurant called L’Incontro at Reposo (Nicanor Garcia).

I had beef carpaccio (yummmmmmmmmyyyyy)
Green tagliatelli with parma ham in porcini cream sauce *drooooling now*
DH had the mushroom risotto
I sat across from YvetteR, who had sliced beef steak (I’m not sure if it’s tenderloin but it looked good)
Wanna know the topic of conversation? Matronic ladies ( Matronas). I realized last night that I end up having so much fun hanging out with Matronas. I know you might laugh at the thought, but in reality, I always walk away with more knowledge about life if I spend time with matronas. I love them!! It’s funny when someone in our group brought up the Sparklers Club (have you hags heard of them?). I was like, wha?! Apparently, the ladies who were in that group were called Sparklers because they wore lotsa bling:) I totally embrace the idea of belonging to that group (I wanna be an honorary member!!). The only sad thing is, I don’t have real Sparklers 🙁 *Mrs.T has to work harder!!* Will tell you hags more about the super funny matrona stories soon (compliments of the matronas-in-training, PT and EAI *Hahaha I wish you were all there to hear the stories hahaha*)– I’m still doubling over with laughter when I think about it (I can’t be expected to finish writing this post in 2 hours if I write about the stories). Ok, I need to be in a more somber state to share the story (hahaha soon I promise).

Sigh…anyway I had a fantastic night of food and company. Crud, I think I’m gonna have to do another dinner soon with my other gals coz I have deferred my birthday dinner for so long:) Here we are (no wine that night– we were all sober haha)

I’m so loving YvetteR’s top (of course, Religioso!) *the Religioso sisters gave me a beautiful green version! THANK YOU! woohoo!!* And ChocR was super nice and brought shirts over for me to try ( I swear I’ve been meaning to go to Religioso for sooo long but since I’ve been playing shopgirl and dutiful mom *muwahahaha riiight*, it was just not possible to go to the other side of town). So when I got home, I headed straight for my room to try them all on. I love them all!

Was so excited that I just had to wear my new shirt with Religioso’s brocade”hot” (pink) pants today. *Woohoo!!* (Get them at Religioso at Edsa Shangrila Mall)
I accessorized with a D!Luxe camelia brooch to channel the inner Sparkler *bliiiing* in me (hahaha gotta be matronic chic!).

Speaking of sparklers, here are new enamel cocktail rings from D!Luxe (I’m soooin love with that ring in the center).They’re remarkably afforable (you won’t feel the pinch!).

Ok gotta get going now. I’m gonna go home and cook dinner (on our 6th year anniversary?? *pffft we are saving money* Muwahahaha… add dutiful wife to that list hahaha). Tsk, cheapskate Mrs.T= behavior unbecoming of a Sparkler-in-waiting! 🙂 *oye, I’m working on it!! I’ve got the “Jackie” part going well already haha*

But wait, I realized one thing, I DID hang out with the Sparklers already!! LAST NIGHT over dinner 🙂 Hehehe (hooo boy, they’ll let me have it when they read this post hehehe). Ok now, time for this baghag to sign off… (for real this time haha)
