More food for Mrs.T and a celebrity- carried bag

I loved The Devil Wears Prada that I watched it again with DM and DB. I know, I know, this is the 3rd time I watched it. So I’m shallow. But hey, it made me happy (deliriously happy aha).

I took a couple of movie shots and this was the one still I liked the most.

So I ended up buying magazines the last few days. Hags, if you get the chance, buy W magazine– the jewellery edition. You will be in for a LOT of treats!! Eye candy galore! Blings and more blings!

Also browsing through another magazine, I saw the celebrity buzz about the Jimmy Choo Mahala bag. I am personally not bowled over, especially not the price– US$1895 *yikes*! The bag reminds me of a Be&D bag married with Kooba.

We had dinner at R&G Lounge— this downtown Chinese restaurant serves delicious Chinese food to locals as well as one of the Philippines’ taipan– Lucio Tan was reportedly a fan of this restaurant. So Mrs.T acted like a pan– *dustpan hehe* and ate at R&G Lounge.

See these orangey shrimps? That’s their true color (alive) and make for the perfect amaebi sashimi *sluuurp* but instead, we had them boiled and served with vinegar and jalapeno and cilantro.
Cold cuts (pork) with ginger
The R&G secret recipe beef. It’s good. The beef sure looked real tough from the photo but believe me, the photo is really misleading. It’s very tender.

Fried vermicelli (so-so), salt and pepper scallops (background left) which were by far the best I’ve ever tasted, and to the right, oysters in black bean sauce (not bad but not too tender) *Sniff I miss Old Clam House oysters!!*

Ok before I log off, I also spied:

A jumbo Chanel classic quilted bag in blue 🙂 *sooo purrrrtyyyyy!*

For those asking about the new Louis Vuitton groom collection, the monogram groom cles is US$200

I gotta head off and clean my room 🙂 *I feel like a college kid again hehehe*

  2. Hi Mrs. T,

Enjoying the posts on your trip esp. the FOOD. Would love to visit SanFran again and maybe Vegas. Any reco. as to where to stay in SanFran that’s decent and won’t break my arm and leg ?

Btw, bought a goyard for myself and wondered if you could clean the canvas at all.

    BG

ps. you take good food photos.

  3. charisse: I know, but sigh i wish i was there also. kids are good, thanks for asking! 🙂

hunnie_bunch: aren’t they cute? but i think one bag is enough for me, although i must say that its so hard to find big tokidoki bags here! it’s all sold out!

BG: you can try staying at Campton’s place or the grand hyatt– it’s right by union square 😀 as for the goyard bag coated canvas exterior, you can just wipe dirt off with a clean damp cloth 🙂 heck i have even tried soaping the bag down 🙂

mcdreamer: dustpan= a taipan wanna be but with DUST only as money 😀
