MFW: Of Paisleys at Etro, AW2012-13

Back to the label’s roots at Etro, where “Paisley” reigned supreme once again in the FW 2012-13 collection. The clothes were steeped in tradition and history but were also married with innovation (think laser- cut patchwork, netting and stitching that have that 3D framing effect) and modernity.  While I don’t really dig the menswear touches as much, I do like *very, very much* the dresses, as they were so sexy and so feminine!

Here are some of my favorites from the collection:

I looooove this gown!

Interesting to have a leather jacket with ruffles– and in red!

The peplum belt

I love this corset belt and the sleeves

Netting on Paisley

3D effect on Paisley

Laser cut details

My favorite dress– I’d love to wear this one.

Overall, a beautiful collection. I think this collection will do extremely well commercially. Especially the dresses and oh, those corset and peplum belts! I love them!
