MFW: D&G SS 2012 *The Last Collection*

D&G’s Spring Summer 2012 collection will play a very important role in the history of the brand because this is also to be the brand’s last season. D&G will actually fold into Dolce & Gabbana.
According to Domenico and Stefano, “We are going through a very happy moment in our lives. From the upcoming seasons, D^G will become part of Dolce & Gabbana, giving even more strength and energy to our collections. To us, it’s like going back to when we began our adventure, full of ideas. We have a lot of new projects to start in the same way as many years ago when D&G was born. This is our new reality. And we are extremely happy about it…”
With that, I bring you, some of my picks from the Spring/ Summer 2012 collection. It was honestly so difficult to choose because everything was mind- blowingly beautiful! I had to save some photos for the national paper *Philippine Daily Inquirer*  that I write for 🙂

I can definitely see me wearing this whole ensemble

 I want that quilted bag!

Fun and Flirty!

Just look at how tiny that charm bracelet- clutch is! I love it!!!

Another shot of the quilted bag, which I love so much. I know where to carry the bag already! 🙁

Swing, swing!

I do love the skirt. A lot!!

 Another favorite look:

To the beach!!

This is beyond intricate. It’s prints that get the bling treatment!

Another favorite, the printed clutch. With the tassels!

And now, the shoes:

Such fun platform wedges!!!

I love this dress too. I’m not normally one who’d wear a body-hugging dress, but I’ll make an exception for this one *ok it’s not as tight as a bandage dress, so I can wear this hahaha) , hands down!
The collection was very bright and happy, and is without question one of my favorite collections at Milan Fashion Week this season!
And while I’m saddened that D&G will cease to exist as its own brand, I also want to congratulate Domenico and Stefano for embarking on this “new” journey 🙂 I can’t wait to hear and see greater things happening!
