Man is to Porn; Woman is to Bags

Warning: PG post 😉 *If you’re under 18, DO NOT READ THIS POST or ~~I’ll tell your mother! I MEAN IT!!!~~* LOL

After a hilarious conversation with a friend about men and porn, I had to ask on twitter, “What is about men and porn?” *Baffling relationship!!* Now, I got some responses in this direction– men are to porn as women are to bags.

Instead of protesting the comparison, I am listing down things that make it similar/ different. (ok when I use the word “men” or “women”, I’m not referring to all men/women. I’m referring to most of them, but not all :D)

Men can’t wait to download the latest porn vids of celebrities or public figures. Women can’t wait to check out the latest “it” bag.
Men share their newest internet “find” *cough* porn to their friends. Women share their recent purchase to their close friends.
Men will watch/ read porn flicks/ mags over and over again. Women pore over their bags over and over again *especially their Hermes birkins!*

Men will always have their “favorites” (favorite “star”, favorite mag, favorite vid hahaha). Women will always have their favorite brands/ bags.
Men talk about their conquests to their buddies. Women talk about how difficult it was to “bag” their latest prized bag.

But HAH! The similarities end right there. Below are some of the reasons why I believe the relationship of men with porn is DIFFERENT from the relationship of women with bags:

Women don’t think of bags all the time. You see, women are obviously more well- rounded than men– we not only think of bags, we also think about shoes, bling, food, clothes, and things for the home *hehehe* 🙂 While men, they apparently almost always think about one thing only– porn. *LOL ok this came from my guy friend and he’d rather not be named for fear that he’d be labeled a traitor to his own kind hahahahaha*

Women do not lock themselves in the bathroom with their bags (ok we lock ourselves in our closets at times). Men + porn + locked bathroom = heaven LOL
Women and bags = purely emotional pleasure– nothing physical 🙂 Men and porn… well again, you get the picture 🙂 LOL
Women carry their bags out in the open as it’s a natural thing to do, and if the bag’s nice (like the Mulberry Alexa Oversized in Watermelon) , they get compliments from other women.

If men carry their vids/ mags out in the open with them *i.e. in transparent plastic bags*, I doubt any man would walk up to them and pat them in the back and say “good on you”. LOL in fact, I doubt fellow men will think guys are admirable for carrying the stuff around for all the world to see hahaha
Women almost always notice bags of other women. Men will only notice bags of women (actually they notice the shoes more than the bags) if those women had vavavoom bodies or were wearing skimpy clothes. Seriously!!! (proves the point that men are only thinking about Porn hahahaha) 😀

Seeee, women do NOT have the same relationship to bags as men do to porn!!! *Protest!* Unlike men, our relationship to bags is multi- dimensional *we’re talking different levels of liking a bag and having an oft- valid explanation as to why we like them and more importantly why we need them! Heck, our relationship to bags is practically scientific!! Men’s “relationship” with porn is purely physical/ biological (LOL so one dimensional)* What say you, girls? 🙂
