Launches & Loving LV all over again

Do I look like a total loser by wanting to be the FIRST to have this or that? Well call me a loser, but I walk away a happy loser *for once*.

Yesterday, November 30, was the grand opening of Krispy Kreme Donuts. If you must know, I am a Krispy Kreme addict. When I was pregnant with my first baby, I downed TWO DOZENS of the original glazed Krispy Kreme donuts… in FOUR DAYS! *I know, I know… I am a candidate for diabetes, but tsk tsk a moment on your lips…. you know what they say*

Sooo, yesterday morning, I sent one of our guys to line up to get 2 dozen donuts *WOOHOO repeat performance?*. That was 10am. By 12:00noon, he was nowhere yet, so I called him. My jaw nearly dropped when he said he was not even halfway in the line, because there must’ve been something like 600 people who are lined up. GEEZ…. All for donuts 🙂 *hey hey hey we NEED our sugar!*

Anyway he came home empty handed. I was disappointed. Soo, being the loser that I am, I went this time with DH and DT to Krispy Kreme after our dinner. We lined up. There were about 100 people when we got there. Well better that than 600! After an hour, we were able to get into the store proper. And it was deja vu. The DONUTS are all there 🙂 Before my sugar-hungry eyes 😀 *It made me wonder how GoNuts Donuts sales are for that day too… poor establishment!*

The glazing fountain looks much, much more “pro” than the GoNuts donuts one. But wait, what I am doing here comparing. Different leagues, hello. Check out the assembly line of donuts 🙂 My mouth was watering already even after having eaten TWO donut samples. And living proof that I am a hoarder (and DH shakes his head disapprovingly): I bought EIGHT dozen donuts. Yes. EIGHT. (check out the stack of boxes!)

Ok well the hoarder thing is not entirely true– I admit I do hoard, but this time, it was the goodness of my heart that got the better of me *muwahaha I know, you ask yourself– Mrs.T? Good heart? HAH!* But tonight was an exception. I decided to play Krispy Kreme delivery hag with DH and DT in tow– it went to DM, the inlaws, and the siblings 😀

Today, December 1, is the official launch of the Louis Vuitton Miroir Line. Yes, the Speedy, Alma, Papillon! And well, knowing thebaghag, EQ is something absent in the vocabulary. So I trooped over to the House of Monogram, credit card in tow *along with unpaid debt and all that crap hahaha* in hopes of seeing the bag.

There was a silver Miroir Speedy, oh and also a gold one that flashed before my eyes. I was blinded!! *Literally blinded!!* So what if it looks “ghetto- bling?” Mrs.T is in love with it! And I didn’t even know I’m into the ghetto bling bling 🙂 *I guess I am! WooHoo!*. Ahh the bag, it’s sooo disco *muwahaha I haven’t heard that word in a looong time*!

So yes, I ended up with a Silver Miroir Speedy 30 🙂 It’s really a very “different” bag. It has that look of a vernis bag, but unlike vernis, this bag is not made of leather. It’s quite structured right now, so I think I’ll probably put a board at the bottom of the bag to keep its form. It looks nice rigid 😀 This bag is actually one of those love-it-or-hate-it. Some people really have an aversion to it (some say it looks like aluminum foil hence it looks cheap), but not me. I looove it! I looks like a stamped aluminum foil bag, which is exactly why I like it. Maybe I’ll debut her this weekend 🙂 But tonight, I’ll just stare at it

I love these two days– these two launches are goldmines (and yeah they add to debt, don’t they haha. But hey, c’est la vie!!)

P.S. A few hags were asking for my opinion about the Hermes Kelly 28cm in potiron which is on the TRESORMAKATI site. The bag is a good size, it’s not too small. I have a 28cm myself, and I’m comfortable with the size as well. Here’s a photo of the bag being carried. 🙂 Here’s also a photo of the inside.
