Jimmy Choo: SS2012 + Press Lunch

An intimate lunch at Sala Bistro was held yesterday for  Jimmy Choo’s Marketing Director for Asia, Anson Chum, as he flew in from Hong Kong to Manila to present the Spring/ Summer 2012 collection of the brand, with the special introduction of the Justine bag.

After the lunch, everyone walked over to the Jimmy Choo boutique in Greenbelt 4– I was excited because I was hoping to find out if Jimmy Choo Manila carried the pieces that the Duchess of Cambridge wore :D*. But before I got to finding out, I was already clicking away as I saw bags of different textures, styles, and colors.  The latest collection seems to have been inspired by 70s celluloid icons and that West Coast “rock n roll” vibe. Oh if everyday were like this (being surrounded by new bags to see)– hellooo bag heaven!  🙂

The Chandra is my favorite clutch among all the other bags in- store. Something about this woven bag with the three- strand gold chain spells luxe to me.  I would highly recommending investing in a beautiful golden clutch like the Chandra. This is really so beautiful up close!

The Justine! She is really beautiful up close. The bag is very functional, as explained in detail by Anson. I think that little slide- through bar in front is so cleverly made! And ahh, this bag is really neutral- meets- bright. And the combination works!

This is something very Carrie Bradshaw, don’t you think? But I would like to rock these heels!! Zebra print on ponyhair + a flower in full bloom? What a sexy combination! Remember how women used to flirt with men using their legs/ feet? Hah, this gives it an entirely different meaning! And oh, you will earn those envious stares from women as well 🙂

I can hardly wear mules of late– I guess I got used to wearing court shoes and those strappy sandals that enclose the feet quite snugly in its place that I suddenly feel like my feet is fully exposed if I wear these mules.  This shoe has that 70s vibe indeed– perfect to wear with your kaftan as you lounge by the poolside– and yes, at Beverly Hills Hotel!

Classic court shoes with glitter. I think this spells classic but definitely not boring! In fact, it’s spells fun 🙂

Oh– did I mention that Jimmy Choo has men’s shoes as well? Anson was sporting a really cool pair in cobalt blue!

Jimmy Choo also has a new fragrance!

So you see, Jimmy Choo is not only positioning itself as a shoe company (although that was how the brand began), it is now a lifestyle company!

And before I go, one last look at Catherine’s strappy heels which she first debuted at the Bafta dinner in Los Angeles. Of course by Jimmy Choo 🙂 And those same heels were what she wore to the Thirty Club event just the day before.

*And yes,  those very strappy heels she wore are still available at the Greenbelt 4 boutique!!*

So very 70s disco! Can you see this being worn to dance at Studio 54? 🙂

If you happen to live in Manila, Philippines, go check out the Jimmy Choo boutique, located at Greenbelt 4 in Makati today 🙂
